지지력개선, 보강토분야, 식생기반층 조성 등에 사용되는 3차원 구조의 벌집형태인 지오셀(geocell)에 대한 연구를 통해 국내 고유기술로 독창적인 다공성의 지오셀을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 독창적인 다공성 망상구조에 대한 특성평가를 실시하여 그 결과를 제시하였다. 특성평가를 통해 신규 개발된 다공성 지오셀은 우수한 마찰특성과 차별화된 투수특성으로 향후 관련분야에서 경쟁력있는 공법으로 적용될 것으로 기대된다. This paper summarized that the developing Geocell(Geocomb<SUP>?</SUP>) cellular confinement system with a porous strip and the researches on its properties. The new geoell has shown excellent properties; frictional and permeable characteristics, and is expected to be a proper solution to various fields related.

The thermal, mechanical properties and their degradation behavior of various PLA(Poly lactide) resins was investigated. PLA6201D, PLA4032D and PLA2002D of Natureworks was used as candidates for the potential green geosynthetics. PLA4032D showed the appropriate properties in terms of degradation.

It must be solved some important problem to connect and add the corelation effects between index and field test results for installation damage of geosynthetics. Especially, advanced and differential concept for reliance of index and field test results should be supposed for installation damage test. For example, particle size, angularity, compaction type and cycle, installation condition factors etc. must be involved to the standard test method. In this study, one of the advanced and specialized concept was supposed for the regulation of geosynthetics installation damage test.

Geotextiles are widely used for stabilization of soft soil area and there are forced on their important functions on-situ condition. Especially, movability of construction equipment and drainage troubles are mainly problems on the high amount of contained water of soft soil foundation therefore geotextiles are used for the purpose of improvement this problem. But most of construction specification are not specified its details for high tenacities and drainage for soft soil stabilization. This study is for finding the new procedure for manufacturing of high modulus geotextiles using high modulus polyolefin yarns.

The slop stability of waste landfill has been a problem in domestic and foreign countries. Waste landfills are being constructed in a reclaimed land or mountainous area. But most of these places are consisted of steep slope and hence it is necessary to use the geosynthetics liners in there. Liner system of waste landfills is an important facility which prevents leachate outgoing from the landfills and also groundwater infiltrating from surroundings into the landfills. During the waste disposal stage, differential settlement and tensile stress of the geosynthetic materials could occur due to impact load of trucks and dozers, waste loads and weak foundation soils. In this study, strength characteristics of the liner materials and various case studies of stability analyses of the waste landfills are reviewed from the literature study.
