      • KTX차량 MKBSF산출을 통한 신뢰성 연구

        With the introduction of KTX, in my view it is necessary to secure the reliability of high-speed trains, make them stabilized at the earliest moment possible, and completely digest them as our own system for the purpose of being second to none in the area of railroad business. I am going to study in this thesis through analysis of train failures by help of MKBSF calculation, breaking from the convention in maintaining the high-speed trains, in order to establish and apply the computerized system called as RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), foster manpower in charge of the reliability maintenance, and realize the scientific and efficient maintenance covering the whole field of maintenance. Depending on how efficiently and scientifically we can perform the maintenance activities, we will be able to not only reduce the maintenance cost but also ensure the railroad security, and as a natural consequence improve the railroad image much better.

        Life cycle of the rolling stock is normally 20 to 40 years, though there is some difference in accordance with each vehicle. Maintenance cost is over the twice of purchasing price. and also it is true that precise statics is not managed properly except for some developed countries due to the difference of maintenance method, skills. After KORAIL introduced ERP system in 2007, maintenance cost is managed by type of cars, by unit. but, afterwards it should be controlled as an index and also more precisely. it is the best pending issues to make train maintenance efficiency, to utilize accumulated indexes. I want to attribute to train maintenance efficiency by analysing what is the problems in the present maintenance method.

        철도차량의 부품은 차량 종류에 따라 그 구성부품의 수가 다르나 운영을 시작하여 폐차되기까지 효율적인 운영유지보수를 위한 주요 부품의 수는 몇 백 개로 설정하여 관리가 가능할 것으로 사료된다. 코레일에서 운영하고 있는 KTX차량의 경우 223개의 주요부품을 선정하여 부품의 수명을 연구한 사례를 참조할 수 있다. 주요부품의 신뢰성관리 수준은 안전성, 경제성, 치명도 등의 부품 특성에 따라 분류하여 관리할 필요가 있을 것이며, 주요 기준은 열차 신뢰성 확보와 경제성이 될 것이다. 철도차량을 구성하고 있는 주요부품의 선정과 그 부품의 수명예측, 보수품 관리 등을 6시그마 기법인 D-M-A-I-C를 활용하여 적용방법을 제시하고자 한다. Different parts of railway vehicles, depending on the type of vehicle, the number of its components. A number of major components for operating and maintaining the efficient operation until scrapped suggest that management is possible by setting a few hundred units. You can refer to the cases 223 selected parts of the main parts to study the life of the vehicle and operated by Korail KTX. The reliability of the main components is classified by the need to manage the level of management according to the characteristics of components such as safety, affordability, and Criticality. Propose how to apply the Six Sigma DMAIC, a major part of the selection and management, including life prediction of its parts, repair products, and railroad cars.

      • 철도차량의 효율적인 정비주기에 관한 연구 (A study on the efficient maintenance interval for the rolling-stocks)

        Rolling stock needs many maintenance works because of its long service life. The maintenance of rolling stock has periodic preventive maintenance system. This periodic preventive maintenance system can’t reflect the characteristics of every part. The condition-based maintenance system which reflects the functional condition of every part prevents breakdown and reduces maintenance cost. This study will analyze the records of every part by unreasonable examples of time-based preventive maintenance and reliability management activities, and discuss the necessity of maintenance system reflected the results.

        After the KTX operation Korail has been making great effort to reliability settlement through RCM. Also maintenance cycle and method optimization for normal speed rolling stock field are lively same as high-speed rolling stock. In this paper maintenance techniques for new model electric locomotive are introduced. To find the optimal maintenance method, locomotive inspection cycle for advanced country are examined and other electric locomotive inspection cycle are compared. As a result the present time inspection cycle is totally focusing on safety aspect so the economical efficiency is quite low. Through this research optimal maintenance technique will be accomplished in the end of year 2008.

        철도차량의 사용 기간은 차종에 따라 차이가 있으나 대략 25년에서 30년 정도이고 차량의 상태에 따라 수명이 연장되어 사용되기도 한다. 차량의 정상적인 운용을 위한 정비에 소요되는 비용은 기본적으로 차량의 품질 및 신뢰성에 좌우되거나 정비정책에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 차량의 유지보수비용은 통상 차량구입 가격의 두 배를 상회하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 또한 차량 간 정비방법의 차이 등 정비주체 간에 따라 편차가 크게 나타남을 알 수 있고 일부 선진국을 제외하면 정확한 통계가 관리되고 있지 못하는 것이 현실이다. 한국철도공사의 경우 2007년도부터 ERP시스템이 구축되어 차종별, 소속별 정비비용이 관리되고 있다. 향후 좀 더 정확하게 관리되고 신뢰성관리지표로 활용될 것이다. 이러한 지표의 활용과 함께 많은 비용이 소요되는 차량정비의 효율화는 당면한 최고의 현안이 되고 있다. 철도차량 운행을 위한 유지에 필요한 정비는 차량이 처음 만들어 질 때 정비주기 및 방법이 차량 제작사에 의해 제시된다. 철도 차량 운영사는 차량제작사에서 제시된 기준을 근거로 정비주기를 정하게 되고 정비주기를 얼마나 효율적으로 정하고 관리하느냐에 따라 차량의 안전성 및 유지보수 비용이 크게 좌우된다.       • 철도차량 일상검수 주기 및 방법에 관한 연구

        At present, KORAIL is in the middle of renovating. All steps exert great effort at cost reduction and a profit improvement. Especially to improve maintenance method and inspection period at the rolling-stock division lots of research is under progress. Daily inspection of rolling stocks is to operate the rolling stock normally. Daily inspection items are driving control device, coupling device, brake system, water system and air conditioning system, electrical system etc. Half of the maintenance manpower are inputted at daily inspection. Strengthens the quality and optimize the proportion of daily inspection are urgent problem. Daily inspection period extension aim is as follows. KTX from 3,500㎞ to 5,000㎞, passenger car from 1st to 3,500㎞, new style electric locomotive from 2nd to 5,000㎞, the diesel locomotive is 2,800㎞ from 1,200㎞. In this paper, the optimal daily inspection period and methods are considered including expected problem and counter measures.

        This paper introduces 6σ apply method at a railroad vehicle including basic technique of the 6σ. Basically rolling stock maintenance cost is high and life cycle is long. Therefore, the maintenance efficiency is the most important. Usually the length of the rolling stock life cycle is over 20years, the method of maintenance technique must be reformed periodically. So the key point of a inspection efficiency is to update the maintenance method regularly. The early days 6σ method began from the thing to reduce a productions era. But after the year 2000, it took the place to the management reform technique of all business field. Finally optimal rolling stock maintenance method is introduced through the example.

        For maintaining the modern railroad car, a scientific and systematic approach must b achieved due to the complexity and high-technology feature of its components and systems. The maintenance method also has to be well-organized via statistical analysis. We can note that our ultimate object to implement the maintenance of reliability is to reduce vehicle failures, which are inevitably generated in service, to the lowest possible level and also ensure the most cost-effective maintenance. In addition, it is aimed to reduce unnecessary maintenance works and perform the most suitable maintenance through systematically analyzing the time interval of replacement and maintenance method on the requisite components.
