Then costume became of the symbolic of social status. The people of North Korea are interested in costume. North Korea academy are interested in traditional culture, succeed to the ancient costume reconstruction , modernization. North Korean like to well made dress, high level value, elegance, but South Korean like to fashionable, sexy. The costume culture of South/North interchange is very important. This study is on costume for funeral ceremonies of Chosun's Yi-dynasty. Those funeral ceremonies contained not only its culture but also their confessional spirits. This study shows some specific characteristics of royal funeral costume. In order to protect the corpse, they made the corpse put on many aesthetic layers of these costume made by silk, linen, gold power, and they buried the body deep in the ground. With this way they could express their respect to their ancestors. They believed the dead person could go over to the other world of after death as a new being like a god. This costume originated from our northern ancestor of those who are named horse-riding people. The northern ancestor thought highly of 3 which meant good luck to them, because number 3 was a symbol of birth and death. We inherited this traditional spirit.
