Synthesis of diverse aryl‐substituted amino propanes

Amines bearing diverse aryl substituents for potential utilities as energy and new materials have been synthesized from aziridine‐2‐carboxaldehyde and diverse aryl‐containing substrates. At first two aryl groups were to yield (aziridine‐2‐yl)‐1,1‐diaryl‐methane which was converted to 5‐diarylmethyl oxazolidin‐2‐one as a synthetic intermediate. They were further reacted with another aryl group in the presence of methanesulfonic acid to yield 2,3,3‐triarylpropylamine with the possible carbenium ion intermediate. In addition, this reaction with a second additional phenolic aryl group gave rise to the diversely substituted 3‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐(2,3‐dihydrobenzofuran‐2‐yl)methanamine derived from the intramolecular aziridine ring‐opening reaction by hydroxy group at phenol. This study is about the symbolism of Millstone appeared in psychotherapy like sand play therapy with symbol work. Symbols not only deliver meanings but also have numinous power, which produces transformation through powerful energy from emotional experience. Symbols help human’s mentality develop by compromising opposites which cause conflict. This study is to examine the characteristic of Millstone in human history and the symbolic meaning which appears in mythology and tales and alchemy, and to explain universal and cultural meaning of millstone connected to psychological symbolism. Millstone represents pain through sacrifice of grain, death and the creation of new consciousness as a symbol of the rebirth. Also, it explains the circulation of original nature as a symbol of destiny to overcome by the integration of anima and animus. The millstone described as the symbol of Self in the marriage of mythology represents the coniunctio oppositorum between men and women, a combination of yin and yang. It is the symbol of wholeness integrating conscious and unconscious. Through this study, we consider that millstone is the psychic center of the ego- Self axis and the individuation in the psychotherapy is the process of unceasing transformation of one’s whole personality which experiences the process of balancing, regulating and unifying. Consequently, millstone functions as symbolic intermediation that leads to the center of one’s whole psyche.
전문대 학생들의 영어 학습 동기 요인과 ESP의 필요성: 성취도 수준과 성별에 따른 차이

This research, involving a total of 95 junior college students, examined various motivational factors affecting English learning, with a primary focus on designing specialized English curricula for health and medical fields. The study further scrutinized how these motivational elements correlated with students' English proficiency and gender. Through comprehensive analysis, five distinct categories of motivation were identified: 1) lack of motivation, 2) motivation for participating in English discussions and presentations, 3) motivation driven by the desire for higher English grades, 4) external pressure to learn English, and 5) motivation linked to English learning tasks. Of these, external pressure exhibited a notable relationship with English proficiency–lower proficiency students experienced significantly less external pressure than their higher proficiency peers. In terms of gender, female students displayed a significantly stronger drive to achieve higher English grades compared to their male counterparts. These results underscore the importance of acknowledging individual differences among students and developing a personalized educational approach for each major or level, based on English for Specific Purposes (ESP), instead of a generalized English as a Foreign Language (EFL) framework. Further implications for teaching and proposals for the betterment of English programs within health and medical science majors are explored within the study.

We propose torque controller for Electric-Power-Steering system (EPS) control method. Novel EPS model is proposed. To obtain robustness against external disturbance and model uncertainties, extended state observer (ESO) method is applied. State feedback method is used in controller applying novel EPS model. The additional ESOs are designed to estimate the driver torque and reaction torque. The proposed method is verified by MATLAB/Simulink.
