Despite the fact that the construction industry demands a good quality of skilled labors, most of the labors have been nurtured through apprenticeship, without a systematic education. Despite Institutions has been conducted government-funded education and training programs, the number of new workers released through the educational institutions is not up to the demand of the construction sites, and only few construction workers take government-funded education program. This study analyzed the current status and problems of government-funded education and training, to derive problems and illustrates key improvements in the education system. The improvement measures were presented to improve the cost-side difficulties analyzed by major problems and improvements. As a result, this study aids to activate government-funded education and training.
球狀黑鉛鑄鐵의 Pearlite 硬化能에 미치는 合金元素의 影響

The concept of pearlitic hardenability is described as the effect of alloying and cooling rate on inhibiting the formation of ferrite in ductile cast irons. Ferrite forms during solid state transformation around the graphite spheroid. As carbon diffuses through the ferrite ring, the graphite spheroid must enlarge and the ferrite ring must deform plastically to accomodate this growth. A model has been proposed to clarify this mechanism. The alloying effects of molybdenum, nickel, and copper were studied in a series of heats cast into a range of casting section sizes. Regression analysis was used to illustrate the effects of alloying and cooling rate on the microstructure of ductile cast irons.

This study has been performed to investigate the mechanical properties and microstructures of austempered 0.9% C, 1.5-4.5% Si alloyed cast steel. The austempered microstructures which contain up to 39% stabilized austenite has been obtained, Mechanical properties and microstructures depended primarily on the austumpering time, temperature and the amount of austenite present. The optimum properties have been obtained at the chemical compositions of 0.9% C and 2.5% Si.

N/A The effect of the solution & aging treatment on the tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, reduction of area, hardness was studied in the 17-4 PH stainless steel. SEM pictures were also taken in order to examine the fracture surfaces and precipitated particles. X-ray diffraction patterns for the heat treated samples were also observed. Mechanical properties of the heat treated samples were superior to those of as cast samples. Tensile strength, yield strength, hardeness decreased with the increase of aging temperature. On the other hand, elongation and reduction of area increased as the aging temperature increased.

The construction industry is heavily dependent on labor force as automation to building constructions is difficult due to its characteristics such on-site production, custom manufacturing production. Thus, while securing and fostering high-quality functional manpower for stable construction work are significant, the construction workforce has been persistently lacking compared to demand. Young workers are reluctant to enter the construction industry due to high labor intensity, unstable employment structure, and uncertainty for the future. The employment rate for new jobs in the construction industry is half as high as in others. Currently, the departments related to construction are organized in specialized high school to conduct training for young workers. The graduates have a low ratio of employment rate to the construction industry and functional capacities fallen short of expectations. In this study, the education and training conditions of specialized high schools were analyzed to derive problems and key improvements of the education system were drawn. As an improvement for the analysis results, it provides solutions such as giving advantages of previous education experience, expand industry-academic cooperation with businesses, and expand links with external educational institutions.
