살충제 영향에 따른 담수산 지각류 Moina irrasa 의 생장과 생식에 관한 연구

To investigate the pesticide effect of a frsh-water cladoceran Moina irrasa, experiments were conducted in three mesocosms with three different pestide concentrations (control, 0.001 ㎖ ℓ^-1, 0.005 ㎖ ℓ^-1) in waters of a rice field in the vicinity of Inchon City (126°43`E, 37°6`N). Water temperature ranged 15.7 to 28.4℃, and pH varied from 7.22 to 8.32 in the control, respectively. Population density of M. irrassa at control ranged from 542 to 2,584 indiv. ℓ^-1. At 0.001㎖ ℓ^-1 and 0.003㎖ ℓ^-1 of pesticide, population density of M. irrassa ranged from 214 to 1,123 and 130 to 1,154indiv. ℓ^-1, respectively. After 4 hours from the experiment, the population density of M. irrasa declined intensively at pesticide treatments, and no individuals were found after 16 hours of the experiment at 0.001 ㎖ ℓ^-1 and after 12 hours at 0.003 ㎖ ℓ^-1. Mean fecundity represented by mean clutch size in terms of the number of embryos per batch at each individual varied between 9.8-17.84 at control, and 12.67-16.48, 15.87-16.64 at 0.001 ㎖ ℓ^-1 and 0.003 ㎖ ℓ^-1, respectively. There were found the individuals only with over 12 embryos at 0.001 ㎖ ℓ^-1 and 0.003 ㎖ ℓ^-1.

Distribution of the marine cladoceran Evadne spinifera in waters adjacent to Korea was studied on the bases of samples collected during the Cooperative Study of the Kuroshio and Adjacent Regions, 1965-1974, and during the Exploitation Research of Marine Resources on the yellow Sea, September October 1992. This species was mainly occurred in August and September in the sea of Japan Distribution in the Yellow Sea was sparse. temperature and salinity ranged $23.42-28.24^{\circ}C$ and $32.11-24.20\textperthousand$, respectively. Maximum abundance of $11{\;}indiv./\textrm{m}^3$ was recorded in coastal waters of Honshu, Japan with $26.80^{\circ}C$ and $32.81\textperthousand$ water. E. spinifera was considered to be a stenothermal animal preferring high temperature.

Preliminary observations on the biology of the freshwater cladoceran Monia irassa were carried out using the samples collected in the vicinity of Inchon City in Jun 20, 1992. A total of 208 specimens randomly sorted from the samples were measured for their body length(BL) and body width(BW). BL ranged 1.07-1.52mm(mean 1.29) and BW, 0.76-1.20(1.03). Embryonic development coincided with the increase of embryo length; stage I: sphere-shaped embryos just after being released from ovary(mean 0.26mm), II: embryos with deviloped embryonic appendages(0.39), III: embryos with well-developed antennae being identified by antennal spines(0.45). No peadogenetic reproduction was observed. Combined effects of embryonic growth and fecundity were positively correlated with BW( I : r^2=0.64, II: 0.42, III: 0.35, mean: 0.45), but not with BL. Fast increase in BW occurred in individuals with early embryos (stage I embryos: X coefficient of EL= 2.09) and expansion rate of brood pouch was gradually decreased with embryonic development (II: 0.67, III: 0.29). The number of embryos per batch ranged 4-25(mean 14.8) and more than 50% animals had 13-17 embryos. Decrease in the fecundity with embryonic development [stage I : 8-22 embryos (mean 16.1), II: 5-25 (15.7), III: 4-24 (14.5)] suggests the presence of prenatal mortality in the species.
울릉도 독도 근해에 분포하는 해산지각류 Evadne spinifera 의 생물학적 특성

Quantitative zooplankton samples were collected at nine stations in waters adjacent to Ullung Do and Tok Do Islands in the summer, 1995. Morphology and reproductive biology of a marine cladoceran Evadne spinifera were studied. Gross length of E. spinifera ranged 0.53∼1.14㎜, standard length; 0.20∼0.58㎜ and tail spine length; 0.07∼0.18㎜, respectively. Its fecundity in terms of the number of embryos per batch ranged 1∼7 (mean: 3.1) and sexual individuals were not observed.

N/A In an artificial pH-gradient batch culture system, the author analyzed the effects of acidification on the species composition of heterotrophic bacteria. As the result of this study, it was found that the numbers of total bacteria were not affected by acidification and that the population size of heterotrophic bacteria decreased as pH became lower. THe heterotrophic bacteria isolated from all of the pH gradient were 12 genera and 22 species, and among them, gram negative and gram positive bacteria were 64% and 36%, respectively. As pH decreased, the distribution rate of gram negative bacteria increased while that of gram positive bacteria decreased. Regarding to distribution rate of genuses in each pH gradient, 13 genuses appeared at pH 7 while only 5 genuses appeared at pH 3, which means that the diversity of genera decrease as pH decreased. The activities of extracellular enzyme showed the ranges of 0.008∼0.292μMl^-1hr^-1 in bioreactor system. The enzymatic activities decreased rapidly below pH 5 and then sustained 5∼38% at the lower pH values.

N/A With physico-chemical environmental factors such as temperature, DO, pH, conductivity and nutrients, size fractionated of phytoplankton standing crops and chlorophyll α concentrations(>8㎛, 3∼8㎛ and <3㎛) and their relationships were investigated at each station of Kyungan Stream and Togyo Reservoir from April to November in 1997. The two sampling sites showed different nutrient status: Kyungan Stream was eutrophic, while Togyo Reservoir was mesotrophic. Large sizes of phytoplankton and chl. α were higher in Kyungan Stream, opposite to those of Togyo Reservoir; Standing crops of phytoplankton(>8㎛) and chl. α(3∼8㎛) were high in Kyungan Stream, while phytoplankton(3∼8㎛) and chl. α(<3㎛) were abundant in Togyo Reservoir. These results imply that phytoplankton community in the highly eutrophicated water mainly comprised the large filamentous and/or colonial algae, such as Microcystis spp. and Aphanizomenon flos-aquae, which easily enriched by nutrients loading.
