Abstract China′s folk song choral art developed in the early 20th century and experienced a difficult and winding road. In the mid-20th century, scholars both at home and abroad conducted different degrees of research on Chinese choral art. But there were few papers with folk song chorus as the research object, and the public was confused about the concept of folk song chorus. However, this situation has improved in the early 21st century. In the past 20 years, many excellent choirs have appeared in China, participated in many international choral competitions, and more importantly, folk song chorus has taken up a larger proportion. Many experts engaged in choral singing and musicians who love the choral career, in the process of learning western music, explore how to integrate the western traditional choral music with the musical elements of the Chinese nation. Chinese folk song chorus is an important choral music topic for contemporary diversified choral development. It not only develops China&s own choral culture, but also helps to spread the national spirit of the Chinese people. If Chinese chorus wants to occupy a place on the international stage, it must have its own characteristics.
