사관교육의 해양스포츠 프로그램 국제비교를 통한 국내 해양스포츠 교육프로그램 발전방안 탐색

본 연구는 전인교육을 지향하는 사관교육에서의 해양스포츠 프로그램 국제비교 연구를 통해 국내 해양스포츠 교육프로그램의 발전 방안을 탐색하는 것으로 연구대상은 6개국(한국, 미국, 캐나다, 터키, 호주, 일본) 사관학교의 프로그램이다. 연구방법은 사관학교 관련 문헌자료와 개별 인터뷰를 통해 수집한 자료를 Bareday의 4단계 비교분석방법을 수정하여 적용하고 전문가 자문을 거쳐 국내 해양스포츠 교육프로그램 발전방안을 도출하였다. 연구결과 해양스포츠는 전인적 소양을 배울 수 있는 모형으로 교육되어지고 있으며, 해양스포츠를 통해 물에서의 생존력과 해양 친화력을 갖게 된다. 해양스포츠 교육프로그램 발전방안은 내용측면에서는 개별종목보다 해양문화 입문차원에서 접근되어야 하고, 생존개념에서 수영이 필수로 교육되어져야 하며, 전문가 양성과 체계적인 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다. 제도측면에서는 국민 모두가 함께 할 수 있는 해양스포츠가 될 수 있도록 해양스포츠 전문 공교육/연구 기관 도입이 필요하다. The purpose of this research is to draw future direction of marine sports education program through analyzing the marine sports education program in Military Academies. Those academies are 6 countries - Korea Naval Academy, U. S. Naval Academy, Royal Military College of Canada, Turkish Naval Academy, Australian Defence Force Academy, National Defense Academy of Japan. This study used the modified Bereday's comparison methodology, and results were some points of similarity and difference between Academies focus on contents and role in academies. Marine sports are important education model for whole person education in academies and help to develop cadet’s marine literacy and survivability in the water. In conclusion, future direction of domestic marine sports education program were as follows. First, ultimate goal of domestic marine sports education program should be an introduction to the marine culture like education as initiation into practices. Second, Swimming should be a required subject in public education, Third, marine sports education program should be developed by rhythm of education. Forth it is necessary to make the public marine sports center for education and research.
