A series of octahedral cobalt(III) complexes involving quadridentate bissalicylaldehyde ethylenediimine (SAED) chelating ligand have been prepared as a new compound: [$Co(SAED)X_2]^+,$ where X = ammonia, pyridine, and bidentate ethylenediamine. Properties and configuration of the complexes were studied by the chemical and physical method.
Thiocatechol 및 그 유도체의 합성과 산해리 정수

New chelating ligands, thiocatechol and p-chlorothiocatechol, have been synthesized and the acid dissociation constants were determined by potentiometric method in 50% dioxane-water; $pK_1 \;and\; pK_2$ were 7.28, 10.97 for thiocatechol and 6.37, 10.22 for p-chlorothiocatechol, respectively. Color reactions with various metal ions were studied. It was found that the above ligands are specific for Bi(III), Mo(VI) and W(VI) as an analytical reagent.
2,5-Diamine 1,4-Dihydroxybenzene과 금속 (II) 이온이 만드는 Coordination Polymer에 관하여

A series of metal ion-2, 5-diamine 1, 4-dihydroxybenzene polymers containing copper(II), nickel(II) or cobalt (II) have been prepared. The structure was postulated on the basis of elementary analysis of polymers. It was found that copper polymer is most likely the coordination polymers by X-ray powder pattern studies. The thermal stability of the polymers was also studied by a simple method, utilizing a thermogravimetric balance. The order of thermal stabilities is Cu(II) > Ni(II) > Co(II). The polymers start to decompose at a relatively low temperature.

The cation exchange resins are synthesized from p-phenolsulfonic acid, formalin, and sodium hydroxide catalyser, and the ion exchange properties of them are studied with respect to their reactant ratios. Maximum exchange capacity was 2.06 me/G, much smaller than the theoretical value of 3.42 me/G to be expected for that of the structure: Under the present experimental conditions, much -SO3H radical should have been split away.
Quinizarin-ethylenediamine의 Schiff's Base 와 금속 (Ⅱ) 이온이 만드는 Coordination polymer의 합성에 관하여

lnorganic polymers, which are composed of metal (Ⅱ) ions and Schiff's Base of quinizarin-ethylenediamine, have been prepared. In order to find out proper conditions for the reaction, some investigations have been carried out to test the effect of pH, kind of solvent and the state of reagent. As a result, the highest yield occurred near pH 7 and it was found that there were not great difference in the kind of solvent and the state of reagent we had used. Most of the polymers are seemed not to be those we have attempted to prepare. They are found to be coordination polymers which have rather low molecular weight.

2,3,4-Pentanetrionetrioxime was synthesized from 2,4-pentanedione(or acetylacetone) and its acid dissociation constants were determined in 50%(v/v) dioxane-water solvent mixture at $20{\pm}0.1^{\circ}C$. The color reactions of the ligand with divalent metal ions, Fe(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II), and Mn(II) were studied.
기관지 천식 환아에서 Solu - Cortef 정주 후 담마진 및 자반성 색소침착이 발생한 1 례

Corticosteroids have anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties, Corticosteroids were widely used in the treatments of bronchodilator-resistant bronchial asthma and of various forms of anaphylaxis. Since Hollander reported 4 cases of urticaria caused by intraarticular injection of hydrocortisone acetate in 1953, several cases of bronchospasm with variable degrees of urticaria and angioedema caused by intravenous corticosteroids have been reported. We recently experienced a case of' urticaria and purpuric pigmentation after intravenous infusion of Solu-Cortef(Solu-Cortef, the Upjohn Co, Kalimazoo, Mich.) in 3 year-old male asthmatic patient. After intravenous administration of Solu-Cortef 100 mg, the patient developed urticarial and purpuric pigmented lesions on his body. When urticaria and purpuric pigmentation were progressed, the patient had no subjective or objective evidence of bronchospasm. Provocation test with intravenous infusion of So)u-Cortef 50 mg was performed, 5 minutes later urticaria and purpuric pigmentation were reappeared. It was confirmed that urticaria and purpuric pigmentation were caused by intravenous Solu-Cortef infusion. It is advisable that precautions should always be taken during the intravenous administra - tion of steroid preparations, especially when asthmatic patient have drug hypersentivity history.
