논문 : 유통환경별 글로벌 SPA 브랜드 매장의 VMD 특성에 관한 연구 -단독매장과 쇼핑센터 내 임대매장을 중심으로-

SPA(Speciality store retailer of Private label Apparel brand) 브랜드의 매장은 고객과의 접점장소이자 소비자의 구매의사 결정에 큰 영향을 미치는 중요한 마케팅 도구이다. 특히 매장의 개발 단계에서부터 콘셉트나 외관 및 인테리어 디자인, 디스플레이 등을 포함하는 비주얼 머천다이징 전략은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 SPA 브랜드 매장의 VMD(VisualMerchandising Design) 요소들이 유통환경에 따라 차이를 보이는지에 대해 분석하고, 이에 대한 기초 자료를 구축하는 것이다. 유니클로, 자라, 에이치앤엠 매장을 분석한 결과를 살펴보면, 다음과 같다. 우선 국내·외 SPA 브랜드의 단독매장 비율은 백화점 내 매장과 비교할 때 매우 낮았다. 다음으로 브랜드별 매장의 유통환경에 따라 디자인적 차이를 보이는 VMD 요소는 외관과 쇼윈도였다. 반면 마네킹은 브랜드별 매장에서 유사한 방식으로 활용되는 것으로 나타났다. 바닥, 벽/기둥, 천장, 카운터, 사인/로고, 디스플레이 테이블, 집기 등의 나머지 요소들은 디자인에 있어 부분적 차이가 있었다. SPA(Speciality store retailer of Private label Apparel brand) brand store is an essential marketing tool in both being the initial meeting place between the brand and the customer, and in influencing on customer’s decision making process. Especially VMD(Visual Merchandising Design) strategy that includes whole design process from the concept development to facade, exterior, interior design, and display should be thoroughly considered in store planning of SPA brand store. The main objectivity of this research is to build up the fundamental data of the characteristics of VMD elements applied in SPA brand stores of Uniqlo, Zara, and H&M. The results are as follow. First, the ratio of independent store of both global and domestic SPA brands is relatively low when compared to it of stores within mixed-use shopping center. Second, the VMD elements that showed definite differences between each store are facade and show window. Mannequin is used in the same way in the both store of each brand. The rest such as floor, wall/column, ceiling, counter, brand sign/logo, display table, and furniture are partially differed in design.
