수어림하기 활동이 유아의 수세기와 수표상에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 유아의 수어림하기 활동이 유아의 수세기와 수표상에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 광주광역시 병설유치원에 다니는 4세 유아 48명을 대상으로 약 5주간 실험을 실시한 결과, 수어림하기 활동을 실시한 실험집단 유아들에게 있어서 수세기 하위요인인 기수성 원리인식과 수표상 하위요인인 영상적, 상징적, 언어적 표상이 비교집단의 유아들에 비하여 증진되었음이 밝혀졌다. 이러한 실험결과는 유아 수학교육 내용으로서 수어림하기 활동의 유용성과 관련지어 논의되었다. The purpose of this study is to find our the effect of young children's number estimation activity on counting and number representation abilities of young children. Research subjects are 48 4-year-old preschoolers from two kindergartens in Gwang-Ju. An 1: 1 interview method was used to test their counting and number representation abilities. These data were analyzed by using r-test between the control group (24 children) and the experimental group (24 children). The result were as followings : 1. There was a significant difference in counting from the group who did young children's number estimation activity in terms of cardinal number recognition, rather than the other group who didn't. However, in terms of 1:1 correspondence, any significant difference wasn't shown. 2. There was a significant difference in counting from the group who did young children's number estimation activity in terms of number representation (Pictorial, Symbolic and Verbal number representation) abilities, rather than the other group who didn't. Especially, a remarkably significant difference was found out in terms of Verbal number representation, among number representation abilities (Pictorial, Symbolic, and Verbal number representation abilities).
