폐광 후 탄광주택지의 변화패턴과 그 요인에 관한 연구 - 일본 산탄지역을 중심으로

본 연구는 일본의 주요 산탄 지역인 북해도ㆍ후쿠오카현ㆍ나가사키현에 건설되었던 탄광주택지를 대상으로 인구밀도, 사업체, 교통 편리성에 주목하여, 이들 3요소가 폐광 후 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 변화 경향을 밝혀 인구감소에 따른 지역소멸 위기 및 향후의 발전 가능성에 대한시사점을 정리하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구의 결과로 첫째, 탄광이 폐광된 지역 모두가 반드시 쇠퇴하지 않는다는 것을 확인하였으며 4가지 패턴으로 변화하는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 이러한 변화는 지역 특성에 따라 패턴 변화에 차이가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 탄광업이라는 단일 목적으로 조성된 탄광마을(도시)의 경우, 그 산업이 소멸하였을 때 지역에 미치는 부정적 파급효과는 높았으며, 이것으로 유추하여 볼 때 지역이 가지는 산업 업종의 다양성은 지역의 유지 및 발전에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다. 셋째, 탄광주택지가 유지 및 발전하기 위해서는 적정한 가까운 거리에 이용할 수 있는 교통수단이 있어야 하며, 다양할수록 긍정적인 영향이 있다는 것을 확인하였다. The aim of this study is to shed light on the status of region-wide transformations that ensued in residential mining towns of Japan in Hokkaido, Fukuoka and Nagasaki prefectures post coal mine closures. It primarily uncovers key correlative factors that have been shaping regional transitions amidst a national coal mining decline. The study confirms three major findings as follows. Firstly, not all coal-dependent regions and their respective mining towns have collapsed alongside the severely declined coal mining businesses (post-closure of the mines) in absolute terms. Based on the analysis for the period of mine closure, this study articulates 4 distinct transformative patterns in such regions. Furthermore, the regional transitions have shown a correlation between each region’s characteristics and the degree of a transformative pattern that followed. Secondly, coal towns (or cities) that have been solely dependent on coal mining have been more adversely affected by the demise of the coal-mining industry. 동일본대지진 후 응급가설주택단지의 건설과 거주자 생활패턴에 관한 연구

본 연구는 동일본대지진의 피해 복구내용과 응급가설주택단지의 설치와 운영에 대한 현황을 정리하고 가설주택에 제공되는 서비스 제공단체의 종류와 내용을 분석하고 또한 창고설치에 따른 거주자 생활패턴을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 결과로 첫째, 일본은 과거 많은 지진으로 인해 재해복구와 관련된 데이터가 축적되었으며 이를 기반으로 현재는 주거기능과 기초생활 인프라를 비롯한 여러 서비스를 서포트 거점시설을 통해 제공하고 있었다. 둘째, 가설주택을 대상으로 각종 생활서비스를 제공하고 있는 방문단체는 거주자들에게 활력과 만족을 주었으며 커뮤니티 형성에도 기여한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가설주택은 최저한의 생활환경을 기준으로 제공된 공간으로 특히 수납공간이 좁아 거주자들이 불편함을 느낀 것으로 조사되었고, 이에 따라 추가적으로 창고를 설치·제공하였다. 창고는 이용자들의 의견을 반영하여 위치가 선정되었으며 미관상 무질서하게 배치된 것처럼 보였지만 실제로 이용하는데 편리하다는 의견이 많았다. This study aims to investigate the damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake and its recovery system. Furthermore, the study summarizes the installation and operational dynamics of the emergency temporary housing development and analyzes the life patterns of the development"s residents. The findings are as follows. First, the present day Japan has accumulated a large array of earthquake-related data. It is now feasible for the country to provide services including basic residential functions when facing the aftermaths of various earthquakes. Second, the visiting services aimed at comforting residents of the temporary housing facilities have fostered vitality and satisfaction among the affected. Third, temporary housing services have been so far particularly inconvenient for residents to live due to the small storage space; and thus, additional storage was installed to reflect the opinions of the occupants. The location of the storage space reflected the opinions of each resident. The location might not be the most presentable for the viewer but garnered high levels of user satisfaction.
