In contacting between surface, there is wear and the generation of wear particles. The particles contained in the lubricating oil carry detailed and important information about the condition monitoring of the machine. Therefore, This paper was undertaken for Ferrography system of wear debris generated from lubricated moving machine surface. The lubricating wear test was performed under different experimental conditions using the Falex wear test of Pin and V-Block type by Ti(C,N) coated. It was shown from the test results that wear particle concentration(WPC) ; wear severity Index(IS) and size\distribution have come out all the higher value by increases sliding friction time. By the Ferrogram a thin leaf wear debris as well as ball and plate type wear particles was observed.

New design principles for a mechanical system have been suggested to be kept in the design process using a washing machine transmission as a model. The one is the principle of sequence, and the other one is the principle of expansion. Design sequence for state variables and design variables of various mechanical elements have been formulated. New automatic design program for washing machine has been developed observing the design principles and decision sequence investigated in this study. It was verified to be very effective to follow the design principles and formulated decision sequence in mechanical system design process.

The types, properties, and processes for wear resistance are reviewed from the viewpoints of material properties, metallurgy, and tribology. Though materials such as ceramics and polymers are used as the wear resistances materials to provide various useful properties, they can offer excellent corrosion and wear resistances as well as mechanical, physical and chemical properties when combined with metal materials. This paper presents, first of all, the concept of surface, kinds of wear resistances and methods based on the characteristics of surface. For that reason classifies wear resistances followed by each surface modification. This, combined with numerous sophisticated wear resistances processes recently developed, makes them the choice of modifications in a large number of applications. This review has been written with an emphasis on wear resistance consisting materials as opposed to metals, ceramics and polymers. It is hoped that this review will serve as a useful source for literature survey as well as an introduction to the subject of wear resistance with materials.

In the case of engine oil which is used under severe running condition, the Seizure, Lubricational characteristic is very important. We have studied the Lubricational characteristics with addition of Zn-DTP in the Falex wear test machine that is used engine oil in order to increase the Lubricational characteristics. The result is as follows, adding the Zn-DTP to engine oil, anti-wear property, superiority of extreme preasure property, and temperature characteristic is excellent, so use of additive must be considered.
