We propose a new method of evaluating the Born-Oppenheimer potentials between Hydrogen atoms. In this method, the energy eigenfunction of the H^+_2ion are to be usedcl in the place of Hydrogen Orbitals in the previous methods. In the paper, we will introduce the theories and the numerical procedures of the two-center problem, H^+_2ion. The characteristics of the energy eigen values and eigen-functions of the H^+_2ion are to be discussed. Finally, we will discuss the merits of proposed method over previous methods.

The sound pressure level and the sound power level of the fire noise of M16A1 rife are measured around the rifle. It was found that /the difference of the sound pressure levels between the left-hand-side and the right-hand-side of the rifle was not significant but was found significant reduction in backward direction of the rifle. According to the data analysis, the maximum sound pressure level at 4.5m reached about 129 dBA and has a 0.546 mili-second duration. The frequency analysis shows that the fire noise has a maximum sound pressure level at about 1.8KHz band. The sound power level of the source is about 148 dBA and this will gives significant sound pressure level to hurt the human ear of the fire man.

A function of the curved surface is determined by Moire interferometry which can be regarded as a form of holographic interferometry, especially for testing optics to be used at long wavelenth. A ronchi ruller, which has 10 line pairs/㎜, is placed on the curved surface and illuminated with collimated light bean. He-Ne laser or white light can be used as the light source. Moire fringe, which means the contour map of the surface, is photographed at angle 30˚ and 37˚ with a camera.

The Discounted Cash Flow(DCF) approach, which has been one of the most frequently used techniques to evaluate industrial investment opportunities, needs to be modified under new manufacturing environments involving high degree of uncertainty and risk. Risk is typically incorporated in DCF analysis in two ways: using certainty equivalent method or via Risk Adjusted Discount Rate(RADR). In this paper, we propose a method to determine RADR for economic evaluation of advanced manufacturing technologies, which are characterized by high initial investment costs and relatively long payback periods. To consider risk characterics of each investment alternative, the proposed method calculates period by period RADRs of each alternative using βcoefficient of capital asset pricing model. A computer simulation was performed to compare the proposed method with the existing ones. The results show that the DCF analysis using the proposed RADRs can be a more reasonable evaluation tool for advanced manufacturing technologies than the existing methods.

We use some kinds of optical glass and crystal for optical system. Nowadays, we use optical plastics for lightening their weight and getting down the cost. In this work, we investigate the type of plastic optics, optical and physical properties. The performance of some lenses of typical plastics and of typical glasses are compared by calculation Seidel 1st order aberrations, ray aberrations/rayfans. All the lenses have same focal length 10cm and F/#4. They are singlet, doublet and conic singlet.

Product liability is the law of the manufacturer's responsibilities for the consumers' personal injuries or the losses of property resulted from defective products. In today's many countries, the product liability law are being enacted because of the safety of product use and the protection of consumer's right. In korea, the product liability is going to enforce on July 1, 2002. Though the construction of product liability response system is urgent situation, domestic manufacture company's PL response system is not nearly prepared in present. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to discuss the Quality Management's importance and the PL countermeasures by presenting the difference of PL response system construction degree by the Quality Management Maturity degree
위상변조가 회전대칭적 수차를 갖는 쌍안경 결상력에 미치는 효과

개구상에서 위상변조를 실시하였을 때에 line spread function과 MTF에 미치는 효과를 실험적 측정에 의한 고찰을 실시하였다. 국산 쌍안경 대물렌즈를 시험렌즈로 하였다. 위상변조를 위한 위상판을 제작하고 렌즈앞에 밀착하여 MTF를 축정하였다. 위상변조는 개구상에서 일정한 범위를 $\pi$만큼 지연시켰다. 실험결과 수차가 큰 쌍안경 대물경계에 위상변조 효과는 공간주파수 여과특성은 매우 약하고 수차보정효과가 크게 나타났다. 결과적으로 적절하게 위상변조를 실시하면, 광에너지 손실이 거의없이 광학계의 결상능력을 향상시킬 수가 있음을 확증하였다. 1)iscussed in this paper are the effects of phase modulation on the line spread functions (LSF) and MTFs of ;I binocular objective system. The binocular objective lens is made in Korea. It has rotationally symmetric aberrations. The LSFs and MTFs are measured experimentally. The phase modulation is carried out by applying phase retardation $\pi$ on the aperture. The area where the phase is not retarded presents a double annular type. The OTF curves of phase modulated aperture are compared with that of unmodulated aperture. The comparison shows that there is the aberration compensation effect in aberration loaded system. Therefore the performance of many optical system can be improved without any loss of light energy by properly modulating the phase on the aperture.

We evaluate the optical prisms with Twyman-Green interferometer. This is the most effective and accurate method of assessment of the optical prism. In this work, He-Ne laster was used as a light source and the illuminating beam was spatially filtered and expanded. In this method a sample prism made in Korea was compared with the one made in other advanced nation. Specially the distorted Fizeau fringes are obtained and compared with the undistorted one. Also the optical path difference(OPD) through the prisms from the presented photography of the distorted Fizeau fringes was measured. We auuure that this accurate asseeement of the optical prism will contribute to the quality control improvement.
實驗式의 최소 제곱법에 의한 Schmidt 補正板 設計

A Schmidt corrector is designed by the least square method through empirical formulae. The rotationally symmetrical wavefront aberration is calculated by scew ray tracing directly in the Cassegrain system without the Schmidt corrector. It is designed to compensate the wavefront aberration. Two kinds of empirical formulae are used. One is for the wavefront aberration and the other is for the derivative of the wavefront aberration. The ray fans of them are compared with one another.
