      • 50년대 한국시의 의미

예종숙 영남이공대학 1982 論文集 Vol.11 No.-

In the study of Korean poetry in the 1950's, it is supposed that it is better to state the study relating poems with history. It is, therefore, the object o this paper to study how Korean poetry in the 1950's to be homogenited in the history, and the object leads us to recognize relationship between poetry and consciousness for history. Many of the poets in those days who realized that corelation wrote poems about the Korean war, much, and they are classified into Hu-ban-gi fellow members, like Park In-Hwan, and Jun Bong-gun, Kim Chun-su, Park yang-kyoon group. The former described the miserable, agony and anxious of the Korean war in ther works, directly, while the latter could produce the sublime and noble works of art out of the subject, the Korean war. Specially, one of the Hu-ban-gi fellow members Park, In-Hwan couldn't confront the miserable of the war only to describe surface of the modern culture in shallow style of extreme vocabularism. To sum up, Korean poets in the 1950's mainly described consciousness of loss after the Korean war or tried to purify that rather than searched for the essence of the Korean war itself which they have experienced.

      • 岸曙의 詩 : 그의 民謠詩에 대한 一般文學的 接近

芮鍾淑 慶北專門大學 (영주경상전문대학) 1977 慶北專門大學 論文集 Vol.1 No.-

The current paper aims to examine, in general literary terms, the process of development and the features in forms and contents of An Seo's poems, particularly his folk songs published in 「民謠詩集」. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1) The new style of poetry motivated by Yukdang seemed to have initiated the trend of writing poems in prose. However, An Seo hold to writing in rhymes in the number of words, which seems to be an inverse current to the tradition. Yet his formalistic asthetics is considered an indispensible step in turning point of Korean. jwetry. It is an effort to revive the tradition rather than an adverse to it. 2) The musical rhythm and simplified language of his poems seem to have been resulted from the forms he had obtained in translating「悽惱의 諦縮」and the poems by symbolistic poets of France. 3) The major rhymes of An Seo's poems are 7-5 words, which has been considered the influence of Japanese literature. This paper, however, tried to establish that it was originated from the poetry of the old Korean folk songs such as Jong Eup Sa. Though his poetry may be simple in style, this doesn't betray his defects in the arts of poetry. 4) The outflow of sentimental feclings expressed in his folk songs isn't out of tracks of modern Korean poetry, deeply rooted in the lack of individual character and instinctive expression of feelings. An Seo had a great influence on So Wol, who has succeeded in overcoming and enhancing the sentimental feelings. 5) He was the first and the last to choose proper words for daily experience, and to use repititive rhymes appropriate for the expression of it.

Gim Girim's poems and theory of poetry are not separate. These are all efforts for Korean poetry. He devotes himself to plant the roots of modernism deeply in Korea and through giving the mobernism trial his poems are merged into the final aim that he intends to modernize Korean poetry. However, modernization of Korean poetry is very unreasonable. His theory of poetry are remarkable, but his poems are not successful. That's why Girim's poems have weak points, at the same time they say Korean poetry has its limit. At any rate, Girim must be a noticeable poet. Girim insists on scientific method in theory of poetry and composition of poems, therefore Korean poetry comes nearer to be completely modernized. We then have to evalute his poems with his theory of poetry whether his poems are good or not. Especially often refusing cross currents in the trend of literature till 1920s, he puts great emphasis on (1) importance of language, (2) a visual image, and then (3) intellectualism before sentimentalism in poetry. Though these are caused by receiving foreign theory of literature, Girim is a poet and theorist of poems who brings a turning points on Korean poetry. Above all, he writes long poetry, Gisangdo in the first place in Korea and it is based on a new methodology through synthesizing sense in poetry and reality, he makes a new contribution to images of poetry. On the other hand, his poems need a little more digging into the nature of modern civilization because of lacking historical senses come from outward cognition. However, I think Gim Girim's above weakness is the general condition in Korean literature.

There have been many critics and studies on the pcetry of Yoek Sa(Lee Won-Rok) until now. But after investigating his poetry, I could get into some conclusions as follows: (1) He had more purity in his poetry than any other poet in our country. I would intend to investigate his poetry beyond the previous means and methods such as the digrammatic explanations concerning with nation and restoration of national independence from Japan. In such respect, the poetry aesthetic and poetical emotion molded by Yook Sa were necessarily successful so greatly. It was 1930's that Yook Sa worked as a poet, and during the so-called "pure Literature" was flourished in the Korean history of Literature. (2) Yook Sa was a poet who establsihed his own situation in his age and was plainly transparent in recognizing it. Accordingly, his poetry included thick sentimentlity and aspiration. (3) Distinguished sensuous beauty of color could be found in his poetry. (4) In his poetry, we can also find the particularity of poetic words which were used massively. That is; the dialects used m Kyung Sang Province, the words directing the Korean northern area and the strong words of manly tone.

예종숙 영남이공대학 1998 論文集 Vol.27 No.-

Since Kapokyungjang, Korean literature has inevitably faced the rapid tide of western culture, and modern literature of Korea has been formed in this cultural conflict. Two different points of view are found when surveying modern literature of Korea at that time. One is a passive extrinsic stimulus to find the foundation of Korean literature from western literature, and the other is an intrinsic stimulus to establish and develop the tradition of Korean literature in its own way. In order to study how the poet Joo Yo-Han accepted western literature in this procedure, the thesis mainly surveyed the trend of literature at that time. When analyzing the poems of Joo Yo-Han, it was found that the poet was very characteristic of romanticism. In order words, Joo Yo-Han was one of the leading poets in Korean Literature of romanticism. The thesis finally concludes that Joo Yo-Han is one of the very important poets when discussing early romanticism literature of Korea.

This study in an attempt to interprect the poems of Han Yong-Woon, focusing on the conquest of anguish and the practice of charity. It was shown that these were derived from the fundamental ideas of Buddhism, and that his ideas were founded on the keen realization of human existence. His realization attempted to arrive of the world of wisdom in Buddhism by considering '1' and 'nature', and 'I' and 'life' in the same status, His poems have a great significance in the fact that they are dependent on the Buddhist way of experience, which sought 'recognition' from 'darkness', 'encounter' from 'farewell', 'speech' from 'silence', and 'truth' from 'falshood'.
