        식품류를 이용한 방사선 방호 효과

        Radiation causes various pathophysiological alterations in living animals, and it causes death at high doses by multiple mechanisms, including direct DNA damage and indirect oxidative stress. The search for useful radioprotectors has been an important issue in the field of radiation biology. Ideal radioprotectors should have low toxicity and an extended window of protection. As many synthetic compounds have toxic side effects, the natural products have attracted scientific attention as radioprotectors. Natural products that have been recently shown to be effective with various biological activities were found to have radioprotective effect. The aim of this review is to summary the recent research of the radioprotective effects of natural foods, especially focused on the glycobiological properties of mushrooms.

        내륙지역에 위치한 원자력시설의 운영으로 액체상 방류물에 의한 주민선량평가 프로그램 개발

        우리나라의 농업, 환경적 요소를 고려하여 내륙지역에 위치한 원자력시설의 운영으로 발생되는 액체상 방류물에 의한 주민선량 평가 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이를 위해 내륙지역에 대한 적절한 피폭경로 설정 및 수학적 모델링 수립, 부지 특성 입력 변수값 설정 등 일련의 연구가 수행되었다. 개발된 프로그램에 대한 시험을 우라늄 계열 핵종을 방출하는 원전연료가공시설에 대해 적용하였다. 평가 결과, 피폭선량에 대한 기여는 하천수의 관개에 의한 농축산물 오염이 가장 높았다. 유효선량에 대한 결정 연령군은 소아, 결정 장기는 뼈로 나타났다. A program for off-site dose calculation due to liquid effluents generated from the operation of nuclear facilities, which are located in inland area, was developed in consideration of Korean agricultural and environmental conditions. A serial of studies were conducted for successful accomplishment : 1) establishment of potential exposure pathways, 2) establishment of mathematical models for relevant pathways, and 3) selection of site-specific input parameters. Using the developed program, the test runs for nuclear fuel fabrication facilities were conducted. As a result, the ingestion of irrigated agricultural products was the highest contributor among considered exposure pathways. Child was a critical age group for effective dose, and done was a critical organ.

      • 액체상 방류물에 의한 주민선량 평가모델 입력변수의 민감도 분석

        A model for off-site radiological dose evaluation due to liquid effluents generated from the operation of nuclear facilities, which are located in inland area, was developed in consideration of Korean agricultural and environmental conditions. In addition, sensitivity analysis was performed for the improvement of the model. Using the developed model, test runs for nuclear fuel fabrication facilities were conducted. Five kinds of exposure pathways(vegetation, animal products, drinking water, fresh-water-fish, shoreline deposits) and two kinds of radionuclides(234U, 234Th) were considered. Sensitivity analysis for input parameters of the model was conducted by applying a Monte Carlo method with Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) technique. As the results, the ingestion of irrigated agricultural products was the highest contributor among the considered exposure pathways. Major sensitive input parameters for the results were the ratio of the interception fraction to the yield of agricultural plants and the human consumption rate.
