      • 사람 유방암 세포 MCF-7에서 Benzo(k)fluoroanthene과 genistein이 CYP1A1 유전자 발현에 미치는 영향

        CYP1A1 is known to be inducible by xenobiotic compouds such as polyciclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) and 2,3,7,8-tetrachloro-dibenzo-p-dioxin(TCDD). These chemicals have been identified worldwide and can have a significant impact on the human health and well being of human and wildlife. Given these issues, the detection and quantification of these chemicals in biological, environmental and food samples is important. First, we investigated the effect of on CYP1A1 promoter activity, 7-ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase(EROD) activity and CYP1A1 mRNA expression induced by benzo(k)fluoranthene(B(k)F) in MCF-7 cells. We found that B(k)F significantly up-regulates the level of CYP1A1 prompter activity, EROD and CYP1A1 mRNA. When cells were treated with genistein, it was not changed that EROD and CYP1A1 mRNA, compared to that of control. However, genistein inhibited the B(k)F-induced CYP1A1 promoter activity and mRNA level at high concentration. Furthermore, in this study, effects of HDAC(histone deacetvlase) inhibitors on human prostate cancer cells proliferation were examined. HC-toxin, SAHA and TSA inhibited cell proliferation in PC3 cells. A novel HDAC inhibitor, IN2001 also suppressed the growth of PC3 cells. And IN2001 and SAHA increased S phase and G2/M phase at 12 hrs treatment but cells were arrested G0/G1 phase at 45 hrs treatment. The HC-toxin treatment for 24 hrs and 48 hrs increased G0/G1 at low concentration ($0.1\mu\textrm{m}$) but increased G2/M at more than concentration of $1\mu\textrm{m}$. TSA increased G2/M phase. These findings height the possbility of developing HDAC inhibitors as potential anticancer therapeutic agents for the treatment of prostate cancer.

But daidzein exhibited stimulatory effects B(k)F-induced CYP1A1 promoter activity and mRNA level at low concentration. Overall, results from these studies demonstrate flavonoids might interfere the action of B(k) with AhR system to stimulate CYP1A1 gene expression.

However, morin inhibited the B(k)-induced CYP1A1 prompter activity and mRNA level at high concentration. But morin exhibited stimulatory effects B(k)F-induced CYP1A1 promoter activity and mRNA level at low concentration. Overall, results from these studies demonstrate morin might interfere the action of B(k) with AhR system to stimulate CYP1A1 gene expression.       • 바이오필리아 이론에 기초한 빛 환경 평가 연구

        The purpose of study developing Development evaluation methods of light environment for indoor of middle school based on ‘Biophilia’. This study is mainly based on literary review and survey research. To construct structural questionnaire based on ‘Light and Space’ of Biophilic Design for well being lighting environmental evaluation. We construct structural questionnaire that have 10 evaluation factors and 60 detail evaluation items to evaluate lighting environment for indoor of middle school based on biophilia theory. To survey students’ subjective evaluation, the participant of study has been selected with the total number of 232 middle school students. The data were analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis by IBM SPSS statistics 21. The results of light environmental evaluation were factor 3,6,8,9 was lower than others. This study was designed to suggesting an evaluation method of light environment of the school. Biophilia theory said when 10 evaluation factor are in harmony, light environment can be well-being. So, factor 3,6,8,9 that are important elements to increase the satisfaction of lighting environment are consider carefully for the plan of indoor lighting environment.

        도시 예술의 미학적 실천 : 가상현실 예술 프로젝트 사례를 중심으로20)

        이번 연구는 거리라는 일상의 공간에서 펼쳐지는 도시 예술이 자본주의 경제 체계의 획일성과 동일성이 지배하는 도시에 다양한 변화를 일으키고 있다고 보고, 디지털 미디어 기술과 결합한 도시 예술 사례들이 갖는 실천적 속성을 분석하고자 한다. 들뢰즈와 가타리, 그리고 랑시에르는 예술이 갖는 실천적 속성에 주목하며 미학은 곧 정치일 수밖에 없다고 주장한다. 미학 혹은 예술이란 기존의 권력 관계 안에서 구조화된 고정된 사유의 틀을 벗어나는 일일 수밖에 없고, 따라서 예술은 본질적으로 정치와 다르지 않다고 본 것이다. 일상의 삶이 이루어지는 거리에서 만나게 되는 도시 예술이라는 미학적 행위는 거리를 걷는 사람들로 하여금 효율적 노동의 공간 구획이라는 기호로 기입된 근대의 도시 공간을 낯설고 이질적으로 감각하게 함으로써 사유와 행동에 변화를 일으킨다. 또한 오감을 활용한 체험을 특징으로 하는 가상현실 기술이 적용된 예술은 시공간이라는 물리적 한계를 뛰어넘어 적용되는 예술로서 도시의 삶을 기존의 의미체계를 넘어 새롭게 사유하고 실천할 수 있는 계기를 마련해 준다. 도시 예술은 언어의 재현 체계로 규정되지 않는 기호로서 끊임없는 의미생성을 가능케 할 뿐 아니라, 디지털 기술과의 결합을 통해 예술과 일상의 경계, 작가와 관객의 분할, 그리고 예술 향유와 사회적 참여의 이분법적 분리를 뛰어넘어 예술을 통한 사회 변화를 일상의 공간인 거리에서 실천하고 있다. It is criticized that the principle of uniformity and identity increasingly affects all aspects of lives in this capitalist society and causes various social problems. In this situation, urban art drives social changes by providing the inspiration for creative thinking and acting, and plays an important role in fighting social challenges. This study analyze the practical implications of aesthetics from urban artworks, and finds out a capability of urban art to make a social change in everyday lives and encourage ordinary people to engage in social action. Urban art as an art form usually displayed on the streets or on the building walls inevitably reflect everyday lives of the cities. Artworks applying virtual reality technologies enable people to feel the world with all human senses and provide opportunities to think and practice city life in a new way beyond the existing meaning system. Urban art is a sign that is not defined as a system of representation of language, and not only enables the continuous creation of meaning, but also break the boundary between art and daily life, the division between the artist and the audience, and the dichotomy between the enjoyment of art and social participation. Virtual art practices not only show the potential of art as a new social engagement activities but also make it possible to forecast how art and technology can play an important role in making a better world as they stimulate people’s creativity.

        바이오필릭 효과 측정을 위한 간접적 자연의 시각적, 청각적 자극 연구 사례 분석

        This study aims to experimentally measure how the inclusion of natural elements in urban indoor spaces affects users’ experiences. To achieve this, the objective was to identify visual and auditory stimuli elements by analyzing prior research. Research trends in biophilia revealed that most studies primarily consisted of case studies or design-focused investigations. However, there was a lack of in-depth analysis involving actual users. Auditory stimulation from nature reflected that one study experimentally categorized six different nature sounds. The most commonly utilized sounds were water-related noises or non-animal and bird sounds such as animal or biophonic. As a result, applying these two types of sounds in experiments can effectively replicate natural auditory stimuli experienced by humans. The materialization of visual stimulation from nature was primarily based on Coulthard’s book from 1988. Research cases related to visual stimulation from nature were also examined. The main components included natural photographs and natural patterns that were then narrowed down to facilitate specific experimentation. Notably, unlike previous studies, natural patterns were included, which are widely used in interior design, as visual stimuli. This allowed for a comparative analysis between actual photographs and natural patterns. Overall, this study aimed to translate various natural factors based on the biophilia theory into tangible experiences to expand the scope of design by incorporating both visual and auditory stimuli, which are frequently employed in design practices. Ultimately, the goal was to lay the foundation for experimental research on the biophilic effect by organizing and specifying the scattered natural stimuli.
