        간호대학생의 코로나19 팬데믹 경험

        주연숙 ( Ju youn sook ),양명석 ( Yang Muyeong seak ) 21세기기독교사회문화아카데미 2022 신학과 사회 Vol.36 No.4

This study was conducted to identify the meaning of nursing students’ pandemic experience due to COVID-19. In this study, eight senior nursing students located in J city participated in focus group interviews, and data were collected from July 11, 2020 to August 1, 2020. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi’s phenomenological analysis method. As a result of analyzing classes about COVID-19 and pandemic adaptation experiences, a total of five categories were derived. The first category revealed ‘effective use in class’ as an advantage of online classes and ‘impossibility of real-time feedback’ and ‘decreased learning efficiency’ as disadvantages. The second category, comprising of in-school practice and clinical training experience, showed advantages such as ‘securing more time to learn theoretical grounds’ and ‘experiencing new programs during in-school practice’ and disadvantages such as ‘lack of practical experience due to discontinuation of clinical training’ and ‘Lack of standardized in-school practice standards’. The third category, change in interpersonal relationship, was shown to be ‘relationship with friends based on lifestyle changes’ and ‘improvement in family relationship’. The fourth category, the need for specific manuals which can flexibly respond to COVID-19, was identified as ‘reflection of views on the changed academic calendar and programs’ and ‘importance of health education concerning quarantine rules’. The fifth category, ‘looking back on oneself and the future during leisure time’ was found to be ‘increased personal leisure time’, ‘developing hobbies and securing more time’, and ‘acquiring a positive attitude toward future medical professionals’. It is hoped that by discovering and supplementing problems related to the experience of nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic, the results of this study will be used as necessary basic data to contribute to the development of high-quality nursing education in the future.
