In a spark ignition engine which has the combustion characteristics of a premixed homogeneous charge and flame propagation, maximum cylinder pressure equal to heat release per cycle during burned period depend upon the rate of heat release and volume change according to piston motion. currently, analysis observes that pressure development for a number of consecutive cycles of an engine operating at steady state reveals a dispersion, and describes, fundamentally, the cause and effect of combustion. the view taken in this study is that analysis process and mode suggests and develops from that past paper is consist of complex analysis. as crank angle base, pressure data in cylinder of 51 engine have acquired and statistically analyzed in order to quantify the behavior of combustion and performance characteristics with engine variables.<br/> summarizing the result of this research is as follows:<br/> 1. The combustion variation was chosen as some variables: maximum cylinder pressure and heat release, its timing of occurrence to peak valve, ignition delay, combustion duration, and combustion rate(Y10%, Y50%, Y90%)<br/> 2. As the degree of mean and standard deviation of all factor according to cycle variation, it is known that combustion becomes unstable as leaner as mixture ratio becomes.<br/> 3. The magnitude and correlation of each analysis factors depend strongly upon air-fuel ratio and spark timing.

Recently, compression ignition engines using diesel oil, because of better fuel economic, are rapidly gaining a large share of the market for passenger car application in addition to their more traditional use for heavy duty trucks and marine engines, but the problem of exhaust emission, particularly NOx and PM from CI engine has been focussed mainly in the view point of environment.<br/> In this experimental study, as the alternative fuel, n-Butyl alcohol and methanol fuel in tested with some blend fuels with diesel oil. The compression ignited type, diesel engines in equipped without turbor charger(NA), in intake manifold system for analyzing engine performance, combustion characteristics.
