Increasing number of corporations applies IT service management systems to optimize IT service delivery and support processes. For this reason, implementation experiences and effect of IT service management system are growing concerns for IT managers and researchers. This case study analyzes implementation experiences on an ITIL based service management systems in an medium sized corporation. The exploratory case analysis revealed that systems and service quality were improved from the implementation. This study will contribute to the successful implementation of IT service management system and developing a research model of IT service management process.

Many problems in IT outsourcing service industry of Korea are rooted in the idiosyncratic structure of the industry. This structure causes the unique characteristics of service level management, service delivery methodology, and contracts. This study looks into the status of the industry, vendors, and markets of IT outsourcing and proposes some of relevant research topics of each area respectively.

본 연구는 최근 IT트렌드의 가장 핵심이라고 할 수 있는 클라우드컴퓨팅, 그 중심의 하나인 가상화기술을 활용한 아웃소싱 사업 모델 사례를 소개하고, 이를 통하여 어떻게 서비스가 변화되었는지와 그것을 적용함으로써 얻을 수 있는 효과, 어떤 분야에 적용이 가능한지에 대한 방안을 모색하고, 가상화 기술이 전략적인 IT아웃소싱서비스를 위해 중요한 요소로써의 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

Information system outsourcing induces firms to concentrate on the core competence and to improve business value by utilizing specialized information systems outsourcing vendors. However, for those strategic effects, the outsourced information systems should guarantee a certain service level. Now companies are considering to adopt SLA(Service Level Agreement) as a method to check the service level of the outsourced information systems in quantitative terms. On the contrary, customer satisfaction survey supports qualitative analysis, and helps companies to understand the qualitative effects on information system more systematically. Recently, the growing use of the internet makes customer satisfaction survey to be carried out on the web. For that reason, lots of researches related to web survey have been performed. But these researches are just focused on finding out only items to be measured and the effect of web survey. In this paper, based on the service quality research model for information system outsourcing, we formalize and propose a web survey process, a system architecture, and a functional structure for information system outsourcing customer satisfaction survey. Additionally, we provide the implementation results for the web survey systems.
가상화기술이 IT아웃소싱서비스 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 사례 분석

본 논문은 클라우드컴퓨팅의 중심 기술이라 할 수 있는 가상화기술이 IT아웃소싱서비스에 적용된 사례에 대해서 살펴보았다. 가상화기술은 서버의 CPU, 메모리 성능 향상, 가격 하락, 데이터 전송 속도개선을 위한 프로토콜의 발전, 유휴 장비의 절전력 모드 등의 부수적인 발전과 함께 비즈니스로써만이 아닌 사용자가 충분히 만족하는 서비스가 되기 위해 더욱 더 변화, 발전됨으로 인해 비용적, 기술적측면에서의 경제적 타당성이 확보되고 잇는 것으로 조사되었다. 향후 가상화 기술을 기반으로 한 아웃소싱 사업모델 구축은 IT서비스 공급사와 수요사 모두에게 필요한 관리적 문제로 등장하게 될 것이다. This study is to analyze the impact of virtualization technologies, which is core technology of cloud computing, on outsourcing performance. Several frontier cases utilizing the technology are summarized in terms of quantitative and qualitative performance changes. In general, the overall experiences from the cases are positive for adopting the new technology, even though still not definitive. Virtualization technology is expected to be a critical element to guide direction for IT outsourcing services
한국 정보통신 벤처기업의 성공요인에 관한 연구 : 창업자의 경험, 지식요인을 중심으로

This study reports the contribution of entrepreneur's experience and knowledge to the success of Korean high-tech ventures based on the survey of 72 Korean high-tech ventures in telecommunication industry. The model proposed for this study is developed based on the previous research in the success of venture firms and tested using correlation and regression analysis. Success of ventures in telecommunication industry in Korea is related to the utilization of the networked knowledge among professionals, marketing skills, and personal energy for pursuing entrepreneurial works. Experiences nurtured from previous works and start-up experience are found to be minimal influence to the success of the ventures. This result implies that knowledge and experience encapsulated in an entrepreneur or team cannot guarantee the success of a venture in telecommunication industry. Technology and knowledge integration, utilizing knowledge network, are essential components for the success of high-tech ventures in telecommunication industry.
