With the advent of the digital economy, the business eco-system has been changing from the competition system across individual companies to that of supply chains. Under the rapidly changing business environment, it becomes true that the competitive power of the steel maker depends on the shipbuilding company, an important customer of the steel maker. Accordingly, e-partnering between a steel maker and shipbuilding companies becomes important. Schemes of developing e-partnering are presented as follows: implementation of the inter-communication system, day/sequence order and supply, improvement of infrastructure such as transport, quay etc.

Currently, the way suppliers and buyers find the best business partners on the supply chain is not far from simply focusing on low costs. This study aims to present a way to explore the optimal business partner to construct the best supply chain in consideration of supply chain risks, hidden costs, and opportunities to create added value. More specifically, the probability that a company finds an best business partner between regions or within regions is calculated and presented. In this study, we present a method of developing an index called a transaction possibility score using an artificial intelligence (deep learning) model to find a business partner as an best supplier. We hope that the results of this study will not only explore the best business partners of each local company, but also help reorganize the local industrial structure in Korea. 현재 공급체인 상 공급자 및 구매자가 최상의 비즈니스 파트너를 찾는 방법은 단순히 저비용 위주에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 공급체인 위험, 감춰진 비용, 부가가치 창출 기회 등을 감안하여 최상의 공급체인을 구성하기 위한 비즈니스 파트너를 탐색하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 좀 더 구체적으로는 기업이 지역 간 또는 지역 내에서 최상의 비즈니스 파트너를 찾을 확률을 산정하여 제시한다. 본 연구에서는 인공지능(딥러닝) 모델을 이용한 거래가능점수라는 인덱스를 개발하여 최상의공급체인 비즈니스 파트너를 찾아주는 방법을 제시한다. 본 연구의 결과가 각 지역 기업들이 최상의 비즈니스 파트너 탐색할 뿐만아니라 우리나라 지역산업구조 재편에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.
Enhancing Business Transaction Networks by Industry Through DNN-Based Partner Recommendations

In today’s highly competitive global market, a company’s success often hinges on how well it can identify and build productive partnerships. This is especially true in supply chain management, where the relationship between suppliers and buyers plays a huge role in determining how efficiently a business runs and how profitable it can be. Traditionally, companies have relied on long-established networks and past relationships when selecting partners. However, this approach can be limiting, as it often overlooks new opportunities due to gaps in information or preconceived biases. To tackle this challenge, the authors of the study introduced a new model based on Deep Neural Networks (DNN). This model is designed to help businesses in South Korea identify potential partnerships across a variety of industries. By taking factors like company size, product offerings, and market position into account, the DNN model can pinpoint partnerships that would be mutually beneficial. The results were striking—there was a significant increase in the number of potential partnerships identified, showing just how effective this approach could be in widening the scope of business collaborations. Notably, the model identified numerous feasible buyer companies that had not been previously considered by suppliers, suggesting that DNN-based recommendations can challenge and reshape traditional perspectives on business compatibility. This research contributes to the growing body of AI-driven business processes and offers practical insights for companies seeking to enhance their supply chain networks through the adoption of innovative technological solutions.

Small and medium businesses take an very important position as a foundation of national development and economy. Recently, the competitive power of small and medium-sized businesses have been weakening due to its structure of high costs and low efficiency. Especially, their distribution and logistics have plenty of room to be improved but is not improved actually compared with those of big companies. It is not easy for small and medium-sized businesses to implement distribution channels and logistics management by themselves owing to the lack of investment capability. It is necessary to develop measures to reinforce the competitive edge of small and medium-sized enterprises and do research on an innovative system for their distribution and logistics while they have difficulty competing with big businesses. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a logistics center to implement the system for group purchasing and delivery of consumer products manufactured by small and medium businesses. This study analyzes the necessity of building a logistics center, development of a logistics center and its economic validation.
DEA 모델을 이용한 세계 주요 항공사의 효율성 비교분석

Recently, the air transport industry has undergone various structural changes stemming from deregulation, liberalization, strategic alliances, infrastructure improvement, etc. Even though the international air transport market is expected to expand continuously in the future, airlines are also meeting hard time in business environment involved in economic depression, financial crisis, oil price increase, etc. It comes to the right time for airlines to need strategies to secure their own competitive edge because they are facing deteriorating business conditions in the rapidly changing environment. At the moment, airlines need endeavor to improve the yield structure by reducing costs, improving productivity, and expanding the market in the competitive air transport industry. First of all, it is important for airlines to understand their current positions and establish the efficient operational strategies in order to reinforce the competitiveness. Airlines`` current positions can be figured out through the comparative efficiency evaluation among many airlines. With this evaluation, they can draw strategies to improve efficiency and obtain competitive power. This paper analyzes the efficiency of major airlines and examine the differences classified by regions, alliances, and revenue sizes. Also it sets up analytic systems on benchmarking references and projections for improvement of efficiency. Major research methodology is a comparative analysis using DEA models for 52 airlines in Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, and other region as of 2009.

항공수요의 증가 보안 강화, 비용 증가 등에 직면하여 공항은 효율적인 관리가 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 공항을 더욱 효율적이고 효과적으로 관리하기 위해 공항당국은 운영효율성 변화의 영향을 평가할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 또한 공항관리의 최적 베스트프랙티스 운영을 위해 공항당국은 세계 경쟁공항의 성과를 벤치마킹 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문은 DEA 모델과 Malmquist 생산성지수를 이용하여 2006년부터 2010년까지 5년간의 데이터를 가지고 전 세계 주요 지역, 즉 동아시아 유럽, 북미 지역 19개 국제공항의 효율성과 생산성 변화를 측정하고 분석하며 인천국제공항에 대한 시사점을 제시한다. 본 연구를 통해 효율적으로 운영되는 공항과 그렇지 않은 공항을 분류하였으며 공항 생산성의 변화는 기술효율성보다는 기술의 변화가 더 많은 영향을 미쳤다는 것을 보였다. 인천공항의 경우 생산성이 운영효율화보다는 외부요소에 의해 영향을 더 많이 받았는데 향후에는 운영 성과 및 효율성 제고에 더 많은 노력을 기울여야 할 필요가 있다. In the face of growing air travels. airport management has become a daunting task. In an effort to manage airports more efficiently and effectively, it is imperative for the airport authority to evaluate the impact of such changes on airport operating efficiency. Also. in order to emulate the best-in-class practices of airport management, the airport authorities need to identify benchmark airport performances among competing international airports. With this in mind, this paper aims to analyze and measure the operating efficiencies and the productivity changes of the 19 international airports across the world, using the secondary data during the period of 2006 to 2010. In addition, this study presents implications for lncheon International Airport. This study shows that the productivity of an airport was influenced by a technical change rather than a technical efficiency change. lncheon Airport needs to make more efforts to improve its operational efficiency.
