소셜네트워크 분석을 통한 정원 관리 주요 항목 도출에 관한 연구

(연구의 배경 및 목적)최근 수목원ㆍ정원의 조성 및 진흥에 관한 법률(이하, 정원법) 개정에 따라 정원 문화 활성화가 예상되고 있으며 정원 산업은 6차 산업과 연계될 수 있다는 점에서 지역 경제 활성화에도 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 그 동안 정원은 정원 조성에 대한 정보가 많이 나타나고 있음에도 정원 유지관리에 대한 정보 및 기법에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실제 정원을 가꾸는 사람을 대상으로 정원 유지 관리 시 나타나는 문제점을 분석하여 정원 관리 연관성을 네트워크 분석을 통해 도출하고, 정원 관리 시 가장 필요한 항목을 도출하고자 한다. (연구방법)정원 관리 문제점을 도출하기 위해 총 3가지 방법으로 연구를 진행하였다. 첫째, 정원 관리의 어려움에 대한 연구의 타당성을 도출하기 위해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 정원 가꾸기에서 실제 어떠한 어려움을 가지고 있는지 조사하기 위해 정원을 가꾸는 사람들 537명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 정원 관리 시 가장 문제가 되는 사항을 도출하였다. 둘째, 정원 관련 커뮤니티 사이트에서 1,032건 게시글을 빈도 분석을 통해 실제 정원 관리 시 문제가 되는 사항을 도출하였다. 셋째, 도출한 정원관리 문제를 네트워크 분석을 통해 정원관리시 가장 문제가 되는 항목을 도출하였다. (결과)실제 정원을 가꾸는 사람들은 정원 관리(78%)에 가장 어려움을 느끼고 있으며 그 다음으로 정원 공간 부족(20%)으로 나타났다. 정원 관리 항목에서는 관수시기(81.2%), 잎 이상 상태(46.6%), 잎 변색(40.0%)에 대해 가장 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 정원 관리 항목을 네트워크 분석한 결과 햇빛조건, 병충해, 꽃 피는 시기에 대한 관리방법 및 정보를 필요로 하는 것으로 나타났다. (결론)본 연구는 정원 문화 활성화가 기대됨에 따라 실제 정원을 가꾸는 사람들이 정원 관리에 어떠한 문제점을 가지고 있는지 분석하였으며 그 결과 햇빛조건, 병충해, 꽃피는 시기에 대해 가장 어려움을 느끼고 있으며 이에 대한 조치 방법, 대응 방법에 대한 정보를 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 정원에 식재된 식물은 한가지 이상 현상이 병충해, 관수 등 다양한 문제점과 연관성이 있어 한 가지 방법에 대한 조치가 아닌 종합적인 판단과 조치 방법이 필요하며 서로 연관된 조치 방법으로 건강한 정원을 가꾸는 방안이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. (Background and Purpose)Garden culture is expected to become more active following the recent amendment of the Arboretum and Garden Construction and Promotion Act (Garden Act). The garden industry is also likely to boost the local economy, as it can be linked as a sixth industry. Although substantial information is available regarding garden construction, limited research exists on garden maintenance. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze problems related to garden maintenance as reported by those who take care of gardens, find correlations in garden maintenance variables based on a network analysis, and identify the most necessary factors in garden maintenance. (Method)Three research methods were used to identify problems involved in garden maintenance: first, a survey was conducted to validate the research on difficulties in garden maintenance. This studied the actual problems experienced in garden maintenance by surveying 537 participants involved with garden maintenance, focusing on the most problematic factors therein. Second, a frequency analysis was performed based on 1,032 posts from a garden community website. Third, a network analysis was performed based on the identified problems to recognize the most problematic factors in garden maintenance. (Result)Those involved in gardening found that garden maintenance (78%) was the most difficult aspect, followed by a lack of garden space (20%). Participants conveyed that regarding the former, watering time (81.2%), and leaf abnormalities (46.6%) and discoloration (40.0%) were the most problematic factors. A network analysis of items related to garden maintenance indicated that information is needed on the management of sunlight, pests, and blossoming periods. (Conclusion)This study analyzed problems related to garden maintenance as experienced by those involved with gardening. The results revealed that participants had the most difficulties with sunlight, pests, and blossoming periods, and needed information on relevant measures to address these. As abnormalities found in garden plants relate to such problems as pests and watering, comprehensive judgment and measures are required to maintain a healthy garden.
