To improve dynamic behaviour of the current steered wheel type AGVs, an accurate modeling of system parameters and optimal trajectory generation have been achieved. The system parameters such as a mass, moment of inertia, and mass center position are estimated using only driving motor torque on a real time. With the obtained system parameter, a velocity trajectory which is capable of no slip motion is generated. Simulation demonstrates that a positioning error using this velocity trajectory is much decreased.<br/>

A modeling technique is proposed for dynamic simulations of OHC valve trains with HLA(hydraulic lash adjuster). HLA is expressed by an air-oil mixture model considering HLA leak-down and aeration effects. A compact nonlinear equation is derived which describe the short tenn dynamic behavior of the HLA. Valve spring is analyzed by a distributed parameter model including nonlinear characteristics in the spring surge phenomena. Global behavior of the valve train except the valve spring is expressed by a lumped mass model. The experimental results prove that the simulation model developed here is accurate and useful for dynamic simulations of OHC valve trains with HLA.<br/> <br/>

This study aims to systematize the needs of each area for computerized production management of small- and medium-sized firms and establish the basic design background of their common database. For this purpose, we surveyed the status, needs and appliable characteristics of the firms' production system by the categories of industry, size and production type. On the base of these surveys the basic design concept and contents of automatic production system for small and medium-sized firms are proposed.
