        Application of digital filter to the wave analysis is studied using the observed data by wave gauge. Sea wave data obtained from wave gauge always include long wave frequency components. In order to estimate the sea wave parameters, we must re-analyzed wave data by using a digital filter and the concept of mean sea level correction method. By the wave by wave analysis and spectral methods, sea wave parameters on the basis of wave data obtained by the conventional method and digital filter are compared. The best-fitted design filter determined by the necessary conditions of frequency responses, can be obtained by calculating various transfer functions. Thus, to get the best the digital filter design, both Butterworth filter and Savitzky-Golay filter of digital filter are used in the frequency and time domain, respectively. Three cases of observation wave data are calculated by applying digital filter. The components of different frequency bands in the surf zone are coexisted in three cases. The wave data for wind wave components is computed using the digital filter in the surf cone and off-surf zone, and based on the filtered data, wave parameters are calculated by the spectral analysis and wave by wave analysis methods, respectively. As a results, when sea wave data observed by wave gauge are analyzed, the Savitzky-Golay method is recommended which can well appear cut-off frequency by experimental choosing filter length in the time domain. The better mean sea level correction method is the Butterworth filter in the frequency domain.

        It is desirable for local governments to have a large source of revenue as much as possible. However, the financial source of a local government in our country is so poor that a local government cannot play a perfect role for itself as required. Around 40 per cent of the present budget of a local government is estimated to be short for its self-support. Therefore, it is required for local governments to grasp correctly the sources of revenue from other sources of tax, as shown in this thesis. This survey has been carried out for the above purpose. And this deals mainly with the sources of an entertainment and restaurant tax in Pusan in 1965. The survey has been done by the method of sampling and comes to a conclusion that 86 per cent of the present tax can be collected more, which amounts to 171,082,210 won.

        In the last few decades, statistical ideas and statistical methods have made their remarkable growth in connection with almost every phase of human activity. Hence, statistical data and statistcal techniques have become a vital factor in the decisions, analyses, and forcasts of the modern businessman. Clearly, numerical data are derived from surveys, experiments, and other sources. There are great many important problems that arise in connection with the direct collection of data ‥‥ problems such as whether or not to take a sample; and if so, what method to use in taking the sample; and how large a sample is needed to arrive at a practically useful generalization. All the methods which I applied in this essay are based on the assumption of randomness, In this connection, randomness refers to methods which we use in obtaining a sample, particularly, to the things which we must avoid so that we can rightfully say that we have a random sample. A sample which is selected in such a way that each item in the populations has known(not necessarily equal) chance of being chosen is appropriately called a probability sample. Since the subject of sample designs cover a considerable amount of material, I have merely attempted to present a brief introduction to such special sampling schemes as stratified sampling, quota sampling, cluster sampling, and systematic sampling,
