In spite of marvelous economic growth on account of successful drive of five years' economic development plan started in 1962, the aggravation of housing based on the rate of supply is the task which is to be solved not only in the aspect of people's welfare but in the level of people's cooperation. Because housing problems do not rise on account of a fragmentary factor but are complicatedly related with the change of economic, social, cultural condition, this study is to search for the concrete solving problems, and based on the presented report and thesis in the many kinds of fora and seminar related with housing until now, the reports made in special study institution, the materials written in learned journals and statistical data of the Ministry of construction, the Ministry of Home affairs, the Korean Housing Bank, the Korean Housing Corporation and Land Development Corporation, are to raise problems in the aspect of housing policy, the management and supply of new and old housing and try to find a solution to the problems. This study subdivides and points out the problems of the lack of supply in new housing the management of old housing and in circulation, the uneffectiveness of redevelopment business of poorly made housing and the problem of policy on the supply of housing, and as the method of solving these problems, government should enlarge the supply of minor housing, house lot and housing for rent, manage the old housing, ameliorate the problems in circulation and, in the policy of housing, enlarge housing investment and financial support, and by way of not only rearing private housing businessman but ameliorating the method of alloting housing through the establishment of the system of housing policy, even if it is difficult to solve broadly from policy microscopically to complicative problem of peoples' consciousness, it is believed to be helpful for the base of basic welfare society of people cooperation and the stability of living.
