In this study, we have analyzed the operation of SCPS(Submerged Cargo Pumping System) in many situations through simulations. The components of SCPS can induce multilateral interference during the system"s operation. As the result of this complex interaction, SCPS may show unexpected dynamic responses. Through simulations, standard operational modes and some particular operational modes are investigated, in order to get useful design strategies on the SCPS. The suggested simulation model is expected to be used in designing SCPS in various liquid cargo ships.

To cope with the quest to improve the fuel economy and vehicle performance, Conti-nuously variable Transmission with changing the speed ratio between minimum and maxi-mum ratio by infinite step, is more efficient than conventional multi-ratio transmission.<br/> In this paper, to investigate a specific CVT shift ratio diagram and CVT shift cha-racteristics, CVT vehicle was tested on the proving ground and chassis dynamometer. The test results are as follows; CVT can obtain the excellent vehicle performance and fuel economy by changing the shift ratio by infinite step, without rapid change of engine revolution and driving force. And CVT has a special shift range that obtains not only the engine brake effect but also driving to the maximum speed.<br/>
