미, 중, 일 3개국의 비서, 비서교육 및 비서학 연구현황에 대한 비교연구

이 연구의 목적은 그동안 상대적으로 활발히 연구 교류를 시도했던 미국, 일본, 중국의 비서에 관한 포괄적인 비교연구를 통해서 앞으로 다양한 국가의 비서에 관한 연구수행을 위한 기초를 마련하는데 있다. 비서학이 미국, 일본, 중국의 나라별 비서의 일반적인 특성과 현 상황, 비서협회, 비서의 유형과 유형별 교육내용, 교육기관, 비서자격제도, 비서에 대한 연구학회 및 학술지 등에 대하여 비교 연구하였다. 연구 결과, 미국의 경우에는 비서의 유형이 매우 세분화되어 있고 민간차원의 협회가 발달한 반면, 중국의 경우에는 정부에서 근무하는 비서가 많으며 이에 따라 비서가 높은 사회적 위상을 차지하고 있고, 성, 도시 별로 다양한 학회와 협회가 존재하여 활발한 교류가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 일본의 경우에는 미국과 비슷한 다양한 산업분야별 비서의 유형을 보이나, 일본 조직의 특성에 따른 그룹형태의 비서진이 특징적이었고, 일본비서학회가 일본비즈니스실무 학회로 전환하는 등의 비서직에 대한 보다 폭넓은 적용이 이뤄지고 있다. 이 연구는 미, 중, 일 3개국의 비서교육과 비서연구에 대한 현황을 비교 분석한 첫 연구로서 의의가 있으며, 향후 이 연구를 기반으로 보다 구체적인 나라별 비서에 대한 연구를 제안하고 있다. The purpose of this study is to provide a foundation for research about secretaries in various countries through a preliminary comparative study on secretaries in the USA, Japan, and China. This study compared and researched each country's secretaries in general, the current status of secretaries, secretary associations, secretary education, secretary research associations, and research journals. The results of this study show that in the US, types of secretaries are segmented and secretary associations have been developed based on the private sector. However, in China, secretaries working for governments obtained a relatively high status, and various associations and scholarly communities have been formed in urban and regional levels. Japanese secretaries show similar segments compared to those in the US; however, a group-form of secretaries is a feature of Japanese secretaries which is unique among the three countries. In addition, the Japanese Society of Secretary Studies changed its name to the Japan Society of Applied Business Studies in order to expand its boundaries. This study has implications as the first comparative study about foreign secretary education and secretary research, and it suggests the need for future research and more specific and in-depth studies about each country's secretary education.
