이 연구의 목적은 현재 4년제 대학의 관광 및 호텔경영학과 교과과정에 구현된 능력과 호텔과 레스토랑 산업이 요구하는 능력 간에 차이를 실증분석하고, 분석결과를 한국 대학의 관광ㆍ호스피탈리티 학과의 효과적인 교과과정 수립에 도움이 되고자하는 것이다. 연구대상은 호텔실무자, 레스토랑 실무자, 대학 교수, 그리고 졸업반 학생의 네 그룹이며 이 네 그룹이 선행연구에서 추출된 31개의 능력에 대한 중요도와 구현도 인식의 차이가 있는지를 조사하였다. ANOVA 테스트로부터 31개 능력항목을 6개 측정변수로 축소 분류하였으며 중요도 인식에 있어서는 네 그룹이 신뢰도 0.00 수준에서 유의미한 차이를 나타냈으며 구현도에 있어서는 0.00 수준에서 제한적인 차이를 나타냈다. 평균분석에서는 전 능력항목에서 구현도가 중요도보다 낮게 나왔으며 중요도-구현도 맵에서도 네 그룹이 서로 다른 배치를 나타났다. 중요도와 구현도의 차이가 가장 큰 항목은 대인관계, 이문화 인식, 개인적 특성, 커뮤니케이션과 호텔전산시스템으로 나타나서 호텔전산시스템을 제외하고는 모두 일반적 경력전이능력에 속하는 것이다. 이러한 전이능력은 교실환경에서보다도 개인의 다양한 활동으로부터 습득되는 경우가 많음으로 일일이 교과과정에 반영하는 것이 어려워진다. 그러므로 교과과정 수립은 호스피탈리티 산업에서 필요한 고유한 능력과 일반적 경력전이능력을 균형 있게 반영해야 할 것이다. At present, there is little information available to identify what specific competencies are taught and what ought to be taught to make a student more marketable in Korean hospitality industry. The purpose of this study was to analyze the gap between competencies reflected in Korean hospitality and tourism curricula and those the industry practitioners demand. 396 hospitality educators, hotel and restaurant practitioners and seniors were asked about which competencies were considered as important and to what extent they were incorporated into the curricular. Both ANOVA and Importance-Incorporation (I-I) Grid were employed to analyze the data. The result of ANOVA test for the 6 categories of competence items showed that importance levels of four groups were significantly different while incorporation levels were minimally different. I-I grid of the four groups found that each group of the sample had different perception about the gap between importance and incorporation. However, the four groups of the sample commonly showed that the following competencies had significant gap between importance and incorporation; interpersonal skills, hotel computer systems, cultural awareness, communication, and personal traits.
자연기반 여행객의 미적 경험에 관한 연구 -칸트 미학을 중심으로-

The purpose of this study was to interpret the aesthetic experiences of nature-based travellers from the aesthetical point of view and find out better method for appreciation of wild nature.. The six frequent nature-based travellers were selected. The geographical areas were Western Australia, The Paria Canyon, Sajama National Park, Yellow Knife, Yadding Nature Reserve, and Patagonia.. The types of aesthetic experience of the target travellers were as followings: the aesthetics of time(The travellers recognized the senses of time not only as subjective ideality but also of objective substantiality; the mathematical and the dynamic sublime; mimesis which made both nature and human oneness by exchanging the contemplative gazes; uncanniness which the archetype color of nature gave out; the ability to abstract aesthetics of art from mother nature.
여행의 실존적 진정성, 모더니티와 미적 경험의 관계에 관한 이론 연구

The purpose of this study was to illuminate the inter-relations among existential authenticity, modernity, and aesthetic experience from the perspective of human science. Specifically, the origin trend of authenticity thought, modernity and the relevant philosophical theories were illuminated and the affinity between existential authenticity and aesthetic modernity were investigated as well. Authenticity and aesthetic modernity have a close relevant in that both concepts commonly connotate a spirit of resistance to the coercion of the social norm to pursue an authentic life. The anxiety in Heidegger``s philosophy was an underlying feeling which created by the changing process from inauthentic Dasein to authentic Dasein. The feelings that created when the authenti-seeking travelers asked themselves ontological questions were very similar to that of Heidegger``s anxiety. However, authenticity was not revealed by reflecting the way of thought of a specific epoch alone because it was embedded by constantly struggling against the snobocracy of the society. The travel was a state which travelers moved form space to space to get in touch with the world and meet with various natural and cultural heritages. They automatically contacted them and went through aesthetic experiences which included both beauty and sublimity. The travelers should be equipped with authenticity orientation attitudes in order to experience both beauty and sublimity.
영성관광의 진정성에 관한 연구 -하이데거의 존재론을 중심으로-

As more and more people seek or experience spiritual fulfillment through tourism, the modes of spiritual tourism are extended further. The purpose of this study was to find out both how the tourist`s authentic experience is embedded in spiritual tourism and interpret the authenticity of spiritual tourism from the Heidegger`s ontological perspective. Authenticity is tantamount to ontological question(question of Being) to selves and creates individuals` own pathos(being true to oneself) while sincerity is being true to others. The spiritual tourists try to negate the ethos of everydayness and attain their own pathos by adopting the authentic mode of Dasein. They set out spiritual travels as part of the efforts to get out of Falling that is used to describe the voluntary inauthenticity. Having an anxiety nullifies everyday-ness and makes individuals live with authentic mode of Dasein. The spiritual tourists are generally equipped with anxieties and tend to listen to a voice of conscience.
문학공간의 장소성 분석에 근거한 관광콘텐츠화 방안: < 탁류 >를 대상으로

The purpose of this study was to illuminate how well the literary narrative of < Takryu > was embodied into the literary place from both place identity and authenticity point of view. To this end, Han wongyun``s categorization of the literary space and Relph``s three factors of place identity were exploited in analyzing the literary space of < Takryu >. The experiences of the characters were divided into behavior, contemplation, and dramatic incident in order to analyze place identity of the narratives. From the behavior point of view, two routes were found as tourism contents: the route in which Jungjusa came back to his home via Zaebo wharf and Gaibokdong and the route in which Taesu went for an excursion. From the contemplation point of view, Zaebo wharf for Jungjusa’s authentic space and Wolmyung mass grave for Taesu’s consciousness of downfall. The two murder incidents were found as the most dramatic incidents. Chobong’ house located in Dongmyo, Seoul also should be embodied in Gunsan. Gaibokdong was described as the place where moral degeneration and recovery were repeated permanently. Zaebo Dock was so-called an authentic place to Jung jusa in that it was the place not only where he put his foot first time but also where he tried to suicide due to the financial difficulty.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between or among cultural motivation, authenticity and loyalty of backpackers. 390 college students with backpacking experiences were asked to evaluate variables on a 7 point Likert scale. Findings indicated that cultural motivation was a significant antecedent of authenticity and loyalty. Results also indicated that authenticity was positively influenced backpackers loyalty. A number of marketing implications were suggested on the basis of the findings of this paper.

The purpose of this study was to interpret the authentic experiences of walking travellers embodied in their travel essays. The four target travellers were selected based on whether they were authentically oriented and how well their writing skills were. They had walked on Santiago, Shikoku, amd Silk Road. The original meanings of authenticity, Heidegger``s existential theories, and Kant``s aesthetics were adopted in order to develop the discourse of various types of authentic experiences. The types of authentic experiences in the long distance walking travel were found as followings: resisting attitude against inauthentic everydayness, anxiety ans projective aspect of resoluteness, physical existence, solitude and silence, natural beauty and the sublime, perception of existential changes.
