To obtain the various kinds of inositol stereomers, we have selected the process of electrolytic reduction of DL-epi-inosose-2 using Ni, Ta, Cu, Mo, Pb, Sn, W, Cd and Hg etc., as cathode. We think that this process gives greater variety than chemical processes. DL-epi-inosose-2 was synthesized by chemical oxidation of myo-inositol, dissolved in aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide, and used as electrolytic solution. To prevent anodic oxidation of cathode products the H-type diaphragm cell was used. As the results of paper chromatography of cathodic products, we obtained the $R_f$ values of myo-inositol and epi-inositol were in good agreement with literature values.

N/A The cutaneous tolerability of detergent formulations can be improved by means of suitable additives. They complex the surfactant molecules lowering the concentration of their free monomeric species. Proteins derivatives used as additives for detergency are usually prepared by partial hydrolysis of plant reserve proteins. The main purpose of the hydrolytic cleavage is to make them water soluble and suitable for liquid products. Water solubility and stability are obtained by means of complexation with surfactants which also increase their actual hydrophobicity, an important parameter affecting cosmetic properties of proteins. Transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and electric capacitance (EC) have been adopted as investigation technigues to evaluate the skin integrity/damage in vitro tests, The performance of native wheat protein / surfactant complexes has been compared with traditional protein hydrolysates as detergent additives. The results show a noticeable reduction of skin irritation in surfactant formulations with addition of native wheat protein.
카이랄 페닐글라이신 유도체를 이용한 HPLC용 실리카계 부제담체의 합성

We synthesized the CSP column material of HPLC which is binded with the aminopropyl silica component and chiral 3,5-dinitrobenzoylphenylglycin. The physical and chemical properties of synthetic products agree with the previous results. The synthesized CSP packing material are packed on the empty HPLC column material to separate (R,S)-1,1'-dihydroxy-2,2'-binaphthalene. The optical yield and the separation coefficient of the synthesized packing material of HPLC under mixture solvent (n-hexane/10%-isopropylalcohol) was 99.89% and 1.14, respectively.
Acryl섬유와 염기성 염료와의 염색반응속도에 관한 연구

The effect of physical properties which is second order transition temperature and number of anionic groups of DR, ER and CR acryl fibers on the dyeing kinetice was studied. We found that dyeing rate constants on the cationic dye with various acryl fibers depend more on the second order transition temperature than on the number of anionic groups, lower treansition temperature and higher contents of anionic groups increased the dyeing rate. On the other hand, activation energy by Arrhenius law increased from a lower to a higher level in the order ER, DR and ER Acryl fibers.

A kinetics study has been made spectrophotometrically of coupling reaction of various active methylene compounds with 2-Naphthol - diazonium chloride, In the reaction of all the active methylene compounds used, it was found from the PH dependance of the apparent rate constant that the reation rate was proportional to both the concentration of the diazonium salt of HNA and the carbanion which was formed by the ionization of β-dicarbonyl group of coupling components. On the other hands, we was found that a plot of the logarithms of the psedoufirtst order rate constant against the PKa values of active methylene compounds gave a straight line. Also, the correlation between the second order constant and substitution constants was found satisfactory in the case of active methylente compounds with such p-substituents as - no, Cl and - CH₃. These experimental results are discussed in terms of the reaction is accelerated by an electron donating substituent. And we have been get the result that the small rate constaut values can be explained in terms of the insulating effect of the acetoamino group for the transmission of the electronic effect of the substituent.
Acryl 섬유의 염색반응에 미치는 수용성 유기용매 효과에 관한 연구

To establish the dyeing condition of fiber (DR,CR) with disperse dye in water so-luble organic Solvent such as benzoyl alcohol (BA)was studied. Accordance with results, when the conditions of dye bath is 60℃ above and 0.18 mole/ℓ BA in water, dye concentration on DR and CR wat rapidly increase. On the other hand, the elevation of ? value caused by the addition of BA can be related to plas-ticising effect of used fibers.
