댄스스포츠 교육이 여중생들의 신체의식 및 신체존중감에 미치는 영향

This thesis is aimed for the comprehension of the impact of consecutive dance sport education on the body-consciousness and body-esteem. The subjects were the 7th and 8th graders of a middle school located in Seoul: 43 in the experiment group and 33 in the controlled group. The instruments used to implement the research are the questionnaire translated by Kang, Myung-ok, which Miller, Murphy and Buss developed for the measurement of body-consciousness and the one which Franzoi and Shieds developed for the measurement of body-esteem. SPSS Windows 10.0 was used for the process of the data of this thesis. Mean, the standard deviation, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, independence samples t-test, paired samples t-test are also implemented. The conclusions are as follows: First, there is some difference between those who major in dancing and those who don`t in terms of the body-consciousness and the body-esteem. The research shows that those major in dancing are higher in average in terms of the whole body-consciousness and the internal body-consciousness, external body-consciousness, body flexibility, body-esteem. All those factors show a distinctive difference. Second, there is a significant difference between the 7th graders and the 8th graders in terms of body-consciousness and body-esteem. The 8th graders are higher in the general physical consciousness and internal body-consciousness, external body-consciousness, body flexibility, sexual attraction, attention to weight, and physical condition. All these factors show a distinctive difference. Third, after the a consecutive 16 week dance sport education the subordinate factors such as internal body-consciousness, external body-consciousness, and body-flexibility as well as the whole body-consciousness show some difference between the two groups. The experiment group shows higher average than the controlled group in the whole body-consciousness and the subordinate factors such as internal body-consciousness, external body-consciousness, and body flexibility. All these variables have distinctive difference. Fourth, after the consecutive 16 week dance sport education the subordinate factors such as sexual attraction, attention to weight, body-condition as wall as the whole body-consciousness show a distinctive between those two groups. The average of the experiment group in the subordinate factors such as sexual attraction, attention to weight, body-condition as well as the whole body-consciousness is much higher than that in the controlled group. All these variables have distinctive difference. The result shows that the consecutive dance sport education influences on body-consciousness and body-esteem significantly and both those who major in dance and the 8th graders show higher average than those who don`t and the 7th graders respectively in terms of the consecutive dance sport education has a great effect on the increase of the female teenagers` self-confidence. The increase of body activity through the dance sport has positive effect on the body-satisfaction.
