AB100 & CB100 are general products in the steel beam of the section shape. They are applied for construction, welding and shipbuilding structures. But currently roll damages are generated in the intermediate & finish mills during producing AB100, CB100. The goal of this project is to conduct rolling & roll stress analysis using the 3D FEM program and to research the things which roll diameter affects roll stress. By the analysis results, it is determined that the recording roll stress where the roll diameter will be big comes to be small, and it is recognized that roll damage occurrences of finish rolling mills can be high by roll stress analysis results.

고속철도 활주방지장치(WSP) 제어를 위한 제어 기준속도의 영향도 평가

The WSP (Wheel Slide Protection) System has a critical role to confirm safe braking performance and prevent train accident from flatting of wheels in high speed train. Generally the braking forces should be lowered than maximum adhesion limit to secure rolling motion of wheels and prevent skid motion of those. However during the operation of high speed train, the presence of low adhesion between wheels and rails are very frequent due to environmental factors such as rain, snow and leaves. Thus the WSP system controls the pneumatic pressure in brake caliper by the electronic valves to adjust braking force in low adhesion condition. In this paper we present dynamic modeling of braking system and simulation results for high speed train. And the effect of reference speed for WSP control is also evaluated.

During H beam rolling, the crack is partially generated at the web and flange of H beam. For the crack analysis, it is difficult to analyze defects by mechanical method because of difficult measurement between the material and the product. Therefore in this study, H beam rolling test using the beam blank where the screw bolt is inserted at web and flange is carried out, and metal flow of the screw bolt is verified by macro analysis. Also rolling simulation is performed using the 3D FEM program (DEFORM 3D), and positions are confirmed through the point tracking function of 3D FEM program. By the comparison with results between test and FEM simulation, the respectable similarity of FEM Simulation is identified.
