본 연구는 인간이 생활하는 환경에는 없어서는 않되는 디자인에 관한 것이다. 디자인은 진화하고 있으며 점차 사회적으로 경제적으로 그 영향력은 거대해지고 있다. 다만, 그 영향력의 잘못된 인식과 발달은 오히려 여러 가지 손실과 오해를 불러일으키고 있다. 따라서 정확한 연구와 그에 상응하는 대비책이 필요하다. 본 연구는 도시 거리의 이미지에서 가장 중요한 요소인 방음벽 디자인을 위한 디자인프로세스를 제안하였다. 선행적인 연구로 방음벽의 분류를 통해서 그것이 가지고 있는 형태와 구성요소를 연구하고, 국내·외 설치사례를 알아봄으로써 방음벽 디자인이 나아갈 방향을 알 수 있었다. 특히 환경색채분석을 통해서 주변 환경과의 조화로운 연관성이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 다음과 같은 방음벽 디자인 전략이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 공공디자인은 도시미관을 종합적이고 체계적으로 개선 및 관리하여 아름답고 쾌적한 생활환경을 조성하는데 그 목적이 있다. 방음벽은 공공디자인 대상 시설물 중 교통시설에 해당하며 공공적 가치와 목적의 구현과 함께 계획적인 디자인프로세스가 필요가 있다. 다양하게 시도되고 있는 도시공공디자인은 현실적인 대안이 쏟아지고 있으며 다양하게 접목되고 있다. 본 연구 또한 그러기를 기대해본다. 향후 다양성을 위한 여러 가지 예측 및 검증을 위한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다. This study is about design, which is essential to the environment of human life. Design has been evolving and gradually increasing in the influence on the economy and the society. However, the inaccurate perception of design would rather cause various misunderstandings and loss. Therefore, the right research and an adequate fall-back position that may replace them are necessary. This study is a proposal for designing soundproofing walls, which are one of the most important elements of the city streets. We classified the soundproofing walls by types via proactive studies mainly about their structures and forms, then researched the ones made domestic and abroad to see how their designs of the next generation will appear to be. We made an agreement that the harmony between the design and the surroundings using the analyzation of the environmental color is required on the site. And we finally made some choices about the best design strategies. The basic purpose of public design is of making life in the city more agreeable, having the outward appearance visually pleasing by managing the site overall and systematically. Soundproofing walls are specified as the traffic facilities among all types of publically designed furnitures and it should aim the realization of the public purpose along with the planned design process. Urban public design has been tried out in various methods and it is starting to get more and more realistic design ideas onward, and also grafted in diverse ways. We are expecting that this study could also make an attempt to it, and the constant inquiry into the prediction and verification of the variety of the design is indispensable.
