Nunkeunheugchal (registration No. 01-0001-2014-4), a black waxy giant embryo rice cultivar, was developed by the rice breeding team of National Institute of Crop Science (NICS), RDA in 2012. This cultivar was derived from the cross between get and Josaengheugchal in 2004/2005 winter season, and selected by a promising line, YR25277-B-B-314-2, was selected and designated as the line of Milyang263 in 2009. The local adaptability test of Milyang263 was carried out at four locations from 2010 to 2012 and it was named as Nunkeunheugchal. This variety is a early maturity cultivar. It has 65 cm in culm length and 72 spikelets per panicle, and 1,000 grain-weight of brown rice is 17.8 g which is less than that of Josaengheugchal. This variety is resistant to leaf blast, but susceptible to bacterial blight, neck blast, virus disease and insect pest. The yield potential of Nunkeunheugchal was about 3.54 MT/ha as brown rice at ordinary fertilizer level in local adaptability test for three years. Nunkeunheugchal possesses benefits to rice consumers because of high amounts of GABA, anthocyanin, calcium and iron. This variety would be adaptable to the paddy field of middle and southern plain region of Korea.
연구보문 : 벼 다단선반 육묘시 파종량과 LED 광원이 모 생육에 미치는 영향

벼 선반육묘시는 차광으로 모의 연약화와 뜸모 등 생리장애가 일어나기 쉽다. 벼 선반육묘시 건묘 육성 및 안전 육묘일수에 대한 기초자료를 얻고자 파종량별 LED 광원에 따른 파종후 일수별 묘소질 변화 및 뜸묘발생을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 초장과 엽수는 파종량이 적을수록, 광원별로는 청색광에서 약간 길고 많았으나 처리간에 별차이는 없었다. 2. 건물중은 청색광에서 높았고 적색광과 녹색광에서 낮았는데, 무처리에 비해서는 파종량 120g에서는 청색광에서 높고 적색광과 녹색광에서 낮았다. 170g에서는 청색광에서 높았으나 그 외 광원은 유의차가 없었다. 220g에서는 파종후 25일 이후 적색광에서 짧았고 그 외는 무처리와 유의차가 없었다. 3. 모충실도는 0.729~1.165 mg/cm으로 광원별로는 청색광이 높고 적색광과 녹색광에서 낮았다. 무처리에 비해서는 청색광은 모든 파종량에서 파종 25일 이후 높았고, 적색광과 녹색광은 파종량 120g에서 파종 20일이후 낮았으나, 그 외는 무처리와 유의차가 없었다. 4. 뜸모발생은 청색광과 백색광에서 적었으나 녹색광에서 다소 높았는데, 뜸모는 파종후 15일까지는 발생하지 않았으나, 파종후 20일에는 파종량 120g에서는 녹색광에서 0.8% 발생 하였고 그 외는 발생하지 않았다. 170g 파종에서는 청색광은 발생하지 않았으나 그 외 광원은 0.2~1.3%, 220g 파종에서는 0.4~1.3% 발생하였다. 그리고 파종 25일 및 30일에는 각각 1.2~9.3%, 5.7~30.2%로 급격히 증가하였다. 5. 모충실도와 뜸모발생 등을 종합해 볼 때 다단선반 육묘시 안전 육묘일수는 파종량 120g 및 170g 파종 청색광은 20일, 170g 파종의 그 외 광원과 220g 파종은 15일이내 이었다. Rice seedling raising in shelf apparatus not only saves time but also reduces labor input. However. it sometimes gives weak seedling because of light shading during the seedling growth in shelf. To develop technology for healthy seedling growth in seedling raising shelf, the effect of red, blue, green and white light emitting diodes(LED) on seedling growth of rice(cv. Josaengheugchal) at three seeding rates such as 120g, 170g and 220g/tray was investigated. The plant height and leaf number of rice seedling grown under the different LED lights in the seedling raising shelf was not significantly different from those seedlings grown in the no-LED light treatment. However, dry weight and seedling healthy value of rice in the blue light were higher than red and green light supplements. The blue light treatment gave higher dry weight and seedling health in blue light treatment than the no-LED light treatment in 120g and 170g seeding rates. Based on the seeding rates, dry matter and seedling healthy value were higher in 120g/tray seeding rate than the 170g and 220g seeding rates. Occurrence of physiological disorder on rice seedling in blue LED supplement was also lower than that of red and green LED treatments. The physiological disorder did not occurred until 15 days after seeding at three seeding rates but it increased sharply from 20 days after seeding. Based on seedling quality and occurrence of physiological disorder, the critical seedling growth duration was found 20 day in 120g and 170g seeding rate with blue LED light but 15 day in 220g seeding rate for healthy seedling growth under seedling raising shelf condition.
