        Physical Activity and Subjective Vitality in Older Adults From Community-and Assisted-Living Settings

        Purpose: There is a growing number of older adults moving into assisted-living facilities to maintain their independence while being assisted with certain tasks and having convenient access to services. Physical activity (PA) and vitality play an important role in independence, as well as in mental health, of older adults. However, no research has examined the difference in older adults' levels of vitality (defined as the state of feeling alive and alert) between those living in assisted-living facilities and those from community-living settings. This study also explored sociodemographic predictors of PA and vitality among older adults living in two different types of housing. Methods: This cross-sectional study examined differences in PA levels and vitality between older adults (aged ≥ 60 years; n = 148, mean age = 74.70 years) living in assisted-living facilities (n = 85, mean age = 77.46 years) and those in community-living settings (n = 63, mean age = 70.98 years). PA was assessed by accelerometry, and vitality was measured using the subjective vitality scale. Results: Engagement in light PA and moderate to vigorous PA was higher in individuals living in community-living settings after controlling for sociodemographic variables. However, vitality was not significantly different between the two types of housing after controlling for sociodemographic variables. Marital status, education, and number of diagnosed diseases were associated with vitality. Conclusion: The support is needed for designing strategies to increase PA in older adults living in assisted-living facilities. More attention should be paid to increasing subjective vitality of older adults in both types of housing to promote healthy aging.

        엘리트 선수의 도핑 태도에 대한 자기결정성이론 모형 검증

        This study aims to examine the associations between perceived coaching style and doping attitude based on self-determination theory in elite athletes. Total 332 players( mean age 20.69 years, SD 2.65, male 298) too k part in this study. Data were collected using questionnaires. Majority of participants were collegiate players (91.2%). Many of participants played soccer (41.0%) and golf (52.9%). Structural equation modeling was adopted to test the hypothesis. In the result, autonomy supportive coaching style positively predicted basic psychological needs, autonomous motivation, and doping attitude. Controlling coaching style negatively predicted basic psychological needs, controlled motivation, but did not predict doping attitude. The results of this study indicate that the perception of elite athletes toward coachings tyles should be taken into account to preven t doping in elite sport.

        장애인 건강권 보장과 커뮤니티 기반의 재활체육을 위한 제언

        Objectives: Rehabilitation sport is an increasingly important area in community living individuals with a disability for their health. This paper attempts to address current issues and further directions of rehabilitation sport promotion in South Korea. Methods: We reviewed reports from a number of national surveys and literature in individuals with a disability. Results: In South Korea, individuals with a disability showed low rates of rehabilitation sport participation although rehabilitation sport is beneficial for physical and mental health. To increase rehabilitation sport, five suggestions were made: 1) making community-based programs, 2) building or renovating exercise facilities to provide better access, 3) developing integrated equipment for rehabilitation sport, 4) structuring an exercise feedback system using IT, and 5) continuous research in rehabilitation sport. Conclusion: Ensuring appropriate policies and supporting rehabilitation sport should be a priority for health in individuals with a disability.

        대학생의 기본적 심리 만족과 스트레스 잠재프로파일 유형에 따른 중고강도 신체활동의 차이

        본 연구의 목적은 대학생 교양 체육 수업 참여자의 기본적 심리 만족과 스트레스가 잠재프로파일 집단으로 구별되는지 확인하고 구별된 집단 간 중고강도 신체활동 참여율에 차이가 있는지 검증하는 데 있다. 연구 대상은 서울과 경기도 A 대학의 교양 체육 수업을 수강하는 대학생을 대상으로 편의표본추출법(convenience sampling method)을 사용하여 시행하였다. 총 310명의 대학생에게 설문지를 배포하여 답변이 불성실한 설문지를 제외한 298부의 설문지가 최종 분석에 사용되었다. 자료 분석은 참여자를 분석하기 위해 빈도분석, 기술분석을 사용하였고, 상관분석으로 변인 간의 관계를 분석하였다. 잠재프로파일 분석으로 집단을 분리하여 집단 간 차이 분석을 시행하였다. 연구 결과, 대학생들은 총 4개 집단(집단 1: 가장 낮은 만족 가장 높은 스트레스, 집단 2: 가장 높은 만족 가장 낮은 스트레스, 집단 3: 낮은 만족 높은 스트레스, 집단4: 높은 만족 낮은 스트레스)으로 분리되었다. 가장 높은 만족 가장 낮은 스트레스(집단 2)집단의 대학생들이 여타 집단의대학생들보다 중고강도 신체활동에 더욱 많이 참여하는 것으로 나타났다. This study was aimed to classify individuals based on basic psychological needs satisfaction and stress to investigate differences of engagement in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity using latent profile analysis. Convenience sampling method was used to recruit 310 university students who attended university sport lectures. In total, 298 participants were included in the analysis. Frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, and correlations analysis were used to examine characteristics of participants and the relationship between variables of the study. Latent profile analysis was used to classify individual and compare differences between Classes. The results of the study showed that university students were classified in 4 different Classes (Class 1: lowest needs satisfaction and highest stress; Class 2: highest needs satisfaction and lowest stress; Class 3: low needs satisfaction high stress, Class 4: high needs satisfaction and low stress). Furthermore, it was found that individuals with highest needs satisfaction and lowest stress tended to engage in more levels of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity.

        자율성지지와 물리적 환경 지각, 기본적 심리만족, 행동규제의 관계가 대학생의 고강도 신체활동에 미치는 영향 모형

        The purpose of this study is to examine the relations of autonomy support, perceived physical environment, basic psychological needs satisfaction, behavioral regulation and vigorous physical activity in university students. Total 260 participants (mean age: 22.21, female n: 69) were recruited and completed questionnaires. Frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation analysis were used for statistical analysis. It was found that autonomy support was significantly associated with basic psychological needs satisfaction. However, perceived physical environment was not significantly associated with basic psychological needs satisfaction. Basic psychological needs satisfaction significantly predicted behavioral regulation, which in turn leads to engaging in vigorous physical activity. Further study should test whether autonomy support and perceived physical environment predict vigorous physical activity within the context of self-determination theory in different age groups.

        체육수업에서 친구의 관계성지지가 체육수업 참여 동기와 우울에 미치는 영향: 회복탄력성의 매개효과 검증

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between peer relatedness support and motivation, and between peer relatedness support and depression in physical education settings. Methods: In total, 183 high school students (female: 101) were recruited for this study. Participants' characteristics, peer relatedness support, resilience, motivation, and depression were measured using questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, correlation were performed using SPSS. For mediation analysis, Hayes's Process Macro model 4 were employed. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted using AMOS. Results: The results showed that resilience mediated the relationship between peer relatedness support and motivation and the relationship between peer relatedness support and depression on physical education. Conclusion: This study revealed that peer relatedness support and resilience may play a role in promoting motivation to participate in physical education and reduce depression symptom. This implies that physical education teachers may improve resilience-based teaching style when they intend to improve participation in physical education. Further studies are warranted to develop resilience programs, specialized in physical education settings. 목적: 본 연구는 고등학생의 체육수업 상황에서 친구의 관계성지지와 체육수업 참여 동기의 관계, 친구의 관계성지지와 우울의 관계에서 회복탄력성의 매개역할을 검증하기 위해 진행되었다. 방법: 본 연구를 위해 광주광역시 소재의 고등학생 183명을 대상으로 친구의 관계성지지, 회복탄력성, 체육수업 참여 동기, 우울을 자기보고식 설문지를 활용하여 측정하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 본 연구에서는 SPSS 27.0을 활용하여 기술분석, 상관분석, 모형검증을 위한 매개분석 등을 실시하였다. 또한, 척도의 신뢰도와 타당도 확보를 위해 AMOS 22.0을 활용하여 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 모형적합도를 확인하였다. 모형검증을 위해 Hayes의 Process Macro 4.1을 추가로 활용하였다. 결과: 체육수업 상황에서 친구의 관계성지지와 체육수업 참여 동기의 관계에서 회복탄력성은 유의한 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 친구의 관계성지지와 우울의 관계에서 회복탄력성은 유의한 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구의 연구결과는 긍정적 신체활동 경험을 위한 체육수업 참여 동기 증진과 다양한 원인으로 우울을 경험할 수 있는 고등학생의 정신건강 개선을 위한 방안으로 친구의 관계성지지 및 회복탄력성의 역할에대한 근거기반이 될 수 있을 것이다. 향후 이를 검증하기 위한 학교 체육수업 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 친구와의 관계성과 회복탄력성을 모두 고려한 상호보완적인 체육수업 프로그램의 개발과 연구가 필요할 것이다.

        학교스포츠클럽활동 참여 중학생이 지각한 자율성지지와 운동전념, 기본적 심리욕구만족의 관계: 회복탄력성의 매개효과 검증

        Purpose: This study attempts to examine the mediating effect of resilience in the relationship between autonomy support perceived by students and sport commitment, and the relationship between autonomy support and basic psychological needs. Methods: 299 middle school students (female: 153) participated in this study. Participants’ personal traits, autonomy support, sport commitment, resilience, and basic psychological needs were measured by a questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS(version 25) and Hayes’s PROCESS macro model 4. Results: The result showed that resilience mediated the relationship between autonomy support and sport commitment, and between autonomy support and basic psychological needs. Conclusion: This study confirmed the importance of autonomy support and resilience in managing school sports club activity. And to promote physical activity of adolescents, it is necessary to develop an education program for instructors of school sports club activity to long-term activation of school sports club.

        메타인지와 스포츠 심리기술의 관계 검증

        This study was aimed to investigate impacts of metacognition on sport psychological skills and perceived performance in Korean adolescent football players. In total, 243 adolescent football players were participated in this study. Sport psychological skills (self-confidence, concentration, optimistic attitude, no focusing on result, and enjoyment), perceived performance, metacognition, and self-management were collected using questionnaires. A series of hierarchical multiple regression analyses were performed. Results showed that metacognition positively predicted self-confidence, concentration, optimistic attitude, enjoyment, and perceived performance. However, metacognition did not predict no focusing on result. These findings of this study suggest that coaches may employ meta-cognitive coaching to support psychological strength in regard to sport performances. Further research could usefully explore how specific meta-cognitive strategies affect psychological factors in football players.

        골프참여자의 자기결정성과 성취목표성향에 따른 잠재프로파일집단 확인과 행동계획과 대처계획에 대한 비교

        [목적] 본 연구는 골프참여자가 자율동기, 통제동기, 성취목표성향에 따라 잠재프로파일집단으로 분리되는지 검증하고, 분리된 집단이 행동계획과 대처계획에 어떠한 차이를 나타내는지 검증하고자 하였다. [방법] 총 221명의 참여자가 본 연구 분석에 포함되었다. 참여자의 평균연령은 42.45(SD 11.59) 세였으며, 참여자의 34.8%가 골프에 참여한 경력이 6년 이상이라고 답하였다. 잠재프로파일 분석을 사용하여 참여자가 동기와 성취목표성향에 따라 잠재 집단으로 분리되는지 검증하였으며, 분리된 집단이 종속 변인에 차이를 보이는지 집단 비교 분석을 하였다. [결과] 분석결과 골프참여자는 3개 집단으로 분리되었다. 집단 1은 낮은 동기와 성취목표성향의 특징을 보였다. 집단 2는 보통의 동기와 성취목표성향을 보였으며, 집단 3은 높은 동기와 성취목표성향을 나타냈다. 분리된 집단들은 행동계획에 유의한 차이를 보였고, 대처계획에는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. [결론] 자율동기와 성취목표성향이 높은 골프참여자 집단일수록 행동계획에 긍정적인 관계를 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. [Purpose] This study examined to integrate autonomous motivation, controlled motivation, task-orientation and ego-orientation in adults who played golf as leisure time activities and to test subsequent relations on action plan and coping plan. [Method] Adult participants (mean age 42.45 years; SD 11.59) were recruited for this study(n= 221) and approximately one third of participants had more than 6 years of experience in playing golf. Latent profile analysis was adopted to identify unobserved Classes. In addition, comparison tests of Classes were made on action plan and coping plan. [Result] Results showed three Classes. Class 1 was grouped with those who had lower motivation and achievement goals. Class 2 was grouped with those who had moderate motivation and achievement goals. Class 3 was grouped with those who had high motivation and achievement goals. These Classes showed all significant differences on action plan, but not with coping plan. [Conclusion] This study indicated the important role of high levels of autonomous motivation, achievement goals in action plan for playing golf.

        학생선수가 지각한 지도자의 진성리더십과 운동몰입 및 운동정서, 스트레스 간의 관계: 지도자신뢰의 매개효과 검증

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of coach trust between authentic leadership and sports flow, sports emotion, and stress in student-athletes. Method: A total of 150 student-athletes (101 men) were recruited and coach trust, authentic leadership, sports flow, sports emotion, and stress were measured. The mediation analysis was conducted using Hayes’s Process Macro. Results: The results of this study are as follows. Coach trust showed a significant complete mediating effect between authentic leadership and sports flow. Coach trust showed a significant complete mediating effect between authentic leadership and sports emotion. In addition, coach trust showed a significant complete mediating effect between authentic leadership and stress. Conclusion: This study indicates the importance of mediating the impact of coach trust and the need for a trusting relationship between coaches and student-athletes in a sports environment.
