A human’s desire for beauty has been incessantly continuing and its demand has changed depending upon cultural environment as well as the era. Beginning from beauty make-up to hide her own weakness and brighten her own strength, it has been developing to such deeply-aesthetic art such as art make-up and body painting. It is reckoned as remarkable in that the art industry plays a role in its aesthetic function and it has been considered part of art.<BR> Hence, a whole development of beauty art, in general, would advance into a new concept of art, not just a part of functional aesthetic field which used to be ignored, in particular it is not too much to say that make-up, body painting, and face paining have played a significant role in developing into art, not just functional beauty.<BR> Accordingly, World-Cup gave us chances to reconsider face paining in a different way of thinking and the face paining now looks different to us than before. In addition, it might be conspicuous in that it has given us a chance to join the event beyond seeing.<BR> Accordingly this study guides us to review change of thought about face paining after World-Cup and suggests us a developing method, not to speak of finding such ways to develop in our neighboring living boundary.

The purpose of the study is to research which facial parts are considered to influence on people’s perception of self and others’ image, and the reasons behind. The research was conducted through the questionnaire, targeting 492 male/female university students. The facial image has been categorized into 4 groups–modern, gentle, elegant and active. ‘Gentle’ image is reflected in Face 1–a round face that has big eyes with double eye lid, and small, thick lips ‘Modern’ image is reflected in Face 2–a diamond face with peaked eyes and big, thick lips, Face 3–an oval face with double eye lids and normal sized thick lips-is perceived as “Gentle” image. Face 4–a long face with single eye lid and big, thick lips–is perceived as ‘active’ image, Face 5 is perceived as having an “active” image, since it is a rectangle shaped face with double eye lids as well as big, thick, and peaked lips. When perceiving others’ faces, we have found that people commonly consider following facial factors–shape, eyes, and lips. And it is our conclusion that the unique characteristics of different facial parts are significant factors to influence how we perceive the image of self and others

The purpose of this study was to develop brassiere pattern designed to fit the breast shapes based on ESMOD pattern. It has three quarters cup round shape and also consists of three parts; upper cup, lower cup, and wings. Breast types are classified into five shapes; ideal breast, flat breast, upper developed breast, lower developed breast, and projecting breast. Two subjects for each breast type wore the brassiere, and they evaluated the appearance and wearing twice. Type I for research pattern designed to fit into the breast shape reflecting details of breast size were assessed as superior to the divided commercial type. However, wings’ tightness of Type I for research pattern brassiere was high. Thus, to improve wearing satisfaction, extra was added to wing. Based on the results of wearing experiments of Type I for research, we adjusted and modified Type II for research pattern. Subsequently, its appearance and wearing were evaluated, in order to be improved. For upper developed breast pattern, we extended the length of lower part to balance upper and lower part, as the upper part was somewhat long. The lower developed breast has the closest feature to the ideal breast, suggestive that implies it does not require much improvement Projecting breast pattern has minimal space in the lower part, so we added the support to lift them to be similar to the ideal breasts. For all the breast shapes, we reduced the wings`` tightness from 8% to 7% so that we could extend the length of the wings.
