Vol.- No.68

Arts and cultural social enterprises are organizations that create diverse social values through cultural activities. This study aims to explore performance indicators for arts and cultural social enterprises to enhance our understanding of their performance and investigate their sustainability. To this end, we reviewed and synthesized literature on arts and cultural social enterprises both domestically and internationally, focusing on the Social Value Index (SVI) and the Art & Culture Social Performance Evaluation Model (ARC-SPEM) currently in use. This synthesis informed the proposal of new performance indicators spanning social, economic, and artistic dimensions. Subsequently, a survey among arts and cultural social enterprise experts and a hierarchical analysis process (AHP) were conducted. The analysis highlighted the relatively recognized importance of social performance indicators compared to economic and artistic ones. ‘Cultural welfare and appreciation’ and ‘arts and cultural education’ emerged as priorities in the social dimension; ‘providing jobs for artists’ was prominent in the economic dimension; and ‘art as a social activity’—which employs art to generate diverse values— was underscored in the artistic dimension. However, a case study on the current performance measurement practices of arts and cultural social enterprises in Korea revealed inconsistencies in the criteria, terminology, and categories used across organizations, along with a lack of comprehensive quantitative and qualitative data for appropriate performance assessment. We conclude that to ensure the sustainability of arts and cultural social enterprises, it is crucial to concurrently consider the peculiarities of art jobs, donations and sponsorships, service-oriented activities, and genre-specific value chains from social, economic, and artistic perspectives. Furthermore, artistic performance indicators not only impact artistic outputs but also influence social and economic outcomes, highlighting the need to acknowledge each organization’s unique artistic nature. This study’s significance lies in its systematic and comprehensive identification of performance indicators, acknowledging the unique attributes of arts and cultural social enterprises. It provides a foundation for revisiting previously overlooked performance metrics and facilitates communication with various stakeholders by introducing new artistic performance indicators tailored to the arts and cultural sector.

Symposium Vol.- No.-

This paper deals with the peer-to-peer (P2P) data communication to connect each of distributed levels of developed unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) according to the JAUS protocol. Each of distributed levels of the JAUS protocol divides into a system, some of subsystems, nodes, and components/instances, each of which may be independent or interdependence. Each of levels must require high performance to process data with high speed. Therefore, each of distributed independent levels send data to another level and then it has to be able to process the received data in other levels, Then, P2P communication has to control data flow of distributed levels. In this research, we explain each of levels of the JAUS and P2P structure among the levels using our developed UGV.

Vol.68 No.-

This article is the thesis to study the aesthetic level of Korean poetry that concubine women tried to pursue. Although the cultual position of concubine was able to discuss about literature and art within the aristocratic boundaries, but it shows distinctive features comparing to Korean poetry of the noble-woman due to such as their deprived birth and growing up back ground, incomplete marriage and economical difficulties. In the Temperament thesis, the poem〈(Yeong Yeon Ja:詠燕子)〉 of Kwon Sang Shin(權常愼) ’s concubine Kyeong Hye(景蕙) became a object of the temperament thesis in the early 19th century. And this means while the Korean poetry of the noble-woman achieved the rightness of temperament, the concubine woman did not. This evaluation is also relevant to concubine’s fluid life style. In the aesthetic of New and Freshness(淸新), In 17~18th century Kim seong dal’s(1642-1696) concubine Woolsan(region name)Lee’s poetry 〈Tan Su(歎愁)〉and 〈Kang Chon Jeuck Sa(江村卽事)〉 is evaluated that expressed the aesthetic of new and freshness. The aesthetic of new and freshness is considered to be the artistic level that Korean female poetry generally pursued in common including noble-women and Gisaeng. In the aesthetic of Sadness and Grief(悽怨), In 16th century Jowon’s concubine Lee ock bong’s poetry 〈Yeong Wal Do Joong(寧越道中)〉 is evaluated that expressed the aesthetic of sadness and grief(悽怨). Among the female poets mentioned in poetry and painting, the noble-woman’s poetry is analyzed as it write about the unrestrained concubine women’s spirit. In the aesthetic of Encouragement, there are Lee oc bong’s 〈Gye mi book nan(癸未北亂)〉 and 〈Man heung jeung rang(漫興贈郞)〉. The aesthetic of encouragement is about male, architecture, and huge land scape. Among the concubine women, only Lee oc bong’s poetry was evaluated as a aesthetic of encouragement. In the such as aesthetic of ‘Beauty. subtleness’, Yang sa gi’s concubine’ poetry 〈Kyu won(閨怨)〉 and 2 lines of Kyeong hyeo’s poetry was the object for analysis. This aesthetic categories have something in come between noble-men and female poetry, however this have a distinctive point with different evaluation. This is considered that the limitation of social status is closely related to the art work. Through the comprehensive approach up to the poetry and painting of Gisaeng and servant which is not covered this article, the aesthetic feature of Korean female poetry will be completely delivered. By studying the features of each status of female poetry, the distinguishable features between female poets, and female poet and male poet could be construed.

Vol.62 No.-

The aim of this manuscript is to study the aesthetic characteristic of the gentry ladies" chinese poems by making the style terminologies into a subject based on the discourse of the gentry ladies" chinese poems among the ladies" chinese poems of the previous Korean Collection of Shihwa. I chosed the gentry ladies" chinese poems which were issued on the discourse of Shihwa only and considered their aesthetic characteristics. Because the Shihaw critic"s point of critique must have had an important effect on the base of creation and existence of the ladies" chinese poems, I looked into the whole aesthetic aspects which were pursued by the ladies chinese poems through the style terminologies used by lady poets of the gentry. In the previous Shihwa, the aesthetic characteristics of the gentry ladies" chinese poems are integrated into SEONGJEONGMI(the beauty of the nature), CHEONGSHINMI(the fresh and new beauty), HOGIMI(the beauty of the intrepid spirit), DONHWOOMI(the beauty of the humanity), JEOLMYOMI(the beauty of the exquisiteness). There is no discrimination on this aesthetic category compared with that of men"s chinese poems. This is an instance that the gentry ladies" versification tendency and level was not so much different compared to the gentry men"s versification tendency and level.<BR>  There were quite a few female poets in Korean Shiwha. The classes of the female poets were various from a concubine,?a gisaeng,?a court lady, a crown princess to a nameless lady. I started to study on the Shihwa with the assumption that there must have been differences among their poems that had been embodied with literature considering the situation of that era when the way of life was very much different according to the social position, The first object is the lady poets of the gentry. Because the view point and technique about the ladies of the Shihwa is not right compared to that of the men, many ladies" literary works are circulated as the form of a short phrase or a junk phrase. However, it is fortunate for us to be able to find out the female poets" poetic superiority and parts of their poems on the collection of Shihwa. The literary ability and level of the gentry female poets that we can get from the collection of Shihwa is very high. It is a more precious work if we consider the bad educational environment for females on the old days. Main Subject words: shihwa (a talk on a poetry), a lady"s chinese poem, a lady of the gentry, aesthetic characteristic.
