BIM(Building Information Modeling) is considered a new paradigm and a powerful method in building design, construction and maintenance. However, it is still hard to implement environmental performance analysis using BIM in design stages. This study aims to reveal practical problems and evaluate interoperability between building design information and performance analysis with case studies. Three case studies are performed using two environmental analysis programs (IES/VE, EnergyPlus) and BIM-based architectural design programs (Revit, GoogleSketchUp) in this paper.

Quantification of infiltration rate is an important issue in HVAC system design. The infiltration in buildings depends on many uncertain parameters that vary with significant magnitude and hence, the results from standard deterministic simulation approach can be unreliable. The authors utilize uncertainty analysis in predicting the airflow rates. The paper presents relevant uncertain parameters such as meteorological data, building parameters (leakage areas of windows, doors, etc.), etc. Uncertainties of the aforementioned parameters are quantified based on available data from literature. Then, the Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) method was used for the uncertainty propagation. The LHS is one of the Monte Carlo simulation techniques that is suited for our needs. The CONTAMW was chosen to simulate infiltration phenomena in a residential apartment that is typical of residential buildings in Korea. It will be shown that the uncertainty propagating through this process is not negligible and may significantly influence the prediction of the airflow rates.

Recently, as the need for efforts to improve building energy efficiency and secure the comfort of the occupants has emerged, research on the activity of the occupants has been actively conducted. Based on YOLOv5, an object detection algorithm, a detection model that detects objects used in behavior, and a behavior classification model that classifies the behavior of each object by receiving information from the detection model were developed in this study. As a result, a model was developed to classify four behaviors: cooking, eating, working, and exercise, and the developed occupant activity classification model’s performance was calculated as Accuracy 0.99, and F1-Score 0.98.

Male breast cancer is rare compared to female breast cancer, about 1% or all breast cane or. The cause of male breast cancer is as poorly understood, but several etiologic factors have been suggested in the literature. Proposed risk factors include exogenous estrogen exposure, Klinefelter’s syndrome, gynecomastia and familial clustering. All of the microscopic types identified in the female breast have been encountered in males : the most common type is infiltrating duct carcinoma. Most often, it presents as a painless lump and subareolar in origin. Comparison with female breast cancer reveals no difference with regard to incidence of positive axillary lymph nodes. However there is a sightly lower survival rate for men. The stage of disease is the only parameter that significantly affects outcome. We report a case of breast cancer arising right subareolar area in a 57 year-old male. There were no familial history, Klinefelter's syndrome and microscopic evidence of gynecomastia. Histologically, this tumor was infiltrating duct carcinoma disposed in nests sometimes glands .
