The analysis of statically indeterminate structures by the method of consistent deformation requres much time and effort. This is especially true in the case of statically indeterminate structures with nonprismatic members. Contrary to the method of consistent deformation, the column analogy method can be effectively applied to the computation of moments at any point for the statically indeterminate structures with nonprismatic member to the third degree. In this paper, the moments for the nonprismatic gable frames are to be formulated in general expressions, and to be tabulated. To see how the column analogy method is applied, one example of bending moment calculations of nonprismatic gable frame will be given.

Last products of architectural engineering can divide into structure calculations and designs. Structural calculations and designs are using because a lot of common use programs are developed, but automatic drawing is not available. And data that is used in structural analysis is not used in drawing creation process and a lot of time and efforts are required to all of the engineers and architectural designers. Also, because primary engineer is taking charge of this, many mistake of drawing creation are made. Automatic drawing can enhance engineer's productivity and company's competitive power in construction market in the era of globalization. Therefore, in this research, I developed structure drawing automatic creation program by VB (Visual Basic) that is used recently among automation method and appled to sample model. By using this program, we can make automatically and quickly analyze and design without any mistakes.

The column analogy method is most useful in the analysis of beams, curved members like arches and rigid frame with two fixed supports. The analysis of these structures by the method of consistent deformation involves the solutions of three simultaneous equations because these structures are statically indeterminate to the third degree. In the column analogy method, however, the moment at any point in the given structure can be computed directedly and easily. In this paper, only the bending moments for the unsymmetrical nonprismatic quardrangular frames are to be formulated in general expressions and to be tabulated by the computer. To see how the tabulated data are applied, one example of bending moment calculations of unsymmetrical nonprismatic quadrangular frame will be given.

The safe and economical design of the school buildings reguires a knowledge of the loading environment to which the individual structures will be subjected during their life time. Also in the structural analysis, load is one of the important and basic factors. But the precise loads cannot be known with complete certainty. Especially, live load cannot be estimated more accurately than dead load. To develop the probability based design criteria for the school buildings, the probabilistic characteristics of loadings acting on structures should be defined first. A methodology to develop the probabilistic live load model is presented in this study, including the students' weight survey results. Based on the survey data, design loads for school buildings have been estimated that they are 200 kg/m^2 for slab construction, and 180 kg/m^2 for frame construction. The values of this results are smaller than those of current design live loads, and they may be recommended for live loads of the school buildings. This recommended-value will results in the economical structure.

It is known that arithmetic mean values of impact sound have an unexpectedly high correlation with the loudness of the sound. This measure is simple and much more easily obtained than the measures specified in tile existing standards. This finding was obtained by psycho-acoustic experiments, however, not by field experiments. This paper aims to specify the relationship between this measure and existing measure, L value by JIS A 1419, and to review the proper range of frequencies to be considered by using 63 data of actual impact sounds for domestic floors. As a result, arithmetic mean values of sound levels showed good correlation with L values. And mean values in octave bands from 125 to 2㎑ were proper for light weight impact sound and those from 125 to 2kH were proper for heavy weight impact sound. In addition it was found that L values(by JIS A 1419) estimated from same floor could be underestimated compared to arithmetic values.
