The purpose of this study is to develop a 6-component load cell for measuring the traction force of tractor mounted work machines and to predict their fatigue damage. The force and moment components (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, and Mz) can be calculated using the constructed 6-Component Load Cell. The accuracy can be secured through calibration. Field tests were conducted to derive obtain the actual working load. The stress characteristics of the tractor mounted work machines were identified through FEA (finite-element analysis), and the load was reconstructed at the critical point. Goodman relational expression, rain-flow counting, S-N curve, and the linear cumulative damage theory were used for damage calculation. This procedure can be used to predict the fatigue damage of various agricultural machineries.
