라캉의 욕망 이론에서 본 앤서니 브라운의 그림책 『고릴라』 분석 연구 - 등장인물 한나의 심리표현을 중심으로 -

In picture book Gorilla, the main character Hannah who wants to go to the zoo, and Hannah's always busy dad, and the gorilla who appears in her dream and takes her to the zoo unfold the story. A British picture book author and also the author of this book Anthony Browne describes Hannah's mind specifically through her dream and implies her lack and desire. The aim of this study is to analyze the psychology of Hanna, a character in Gorilla, through Lacan’s theory of desire, and to confirm the possibility that the psychological expression of a character can be discussed as an important issue in the creation of picture books. The inner side of main character Hannah can be analyzed through the conceptual understanding of the French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan's theory of desire, along with Ferdinand de Sausure's linguistics and Sigmund Freud's Oedipus complex. The narrative of Gorilla consists of a total of 15 scenes and the background is divided into a story in reality and a story in the unconscious world based on Hannah's dream. The events in Hannah's unconscious world become the central axis of the narrative of Gorilla, and in this study the theory of desire of Lacan is substituted and analyzed. The results of the analysis show that Lacan’s theory that the human unconscious is structured like language and Hannah’s desire expressed through her dream can be viewed and interpreted in the same line. This new perspective can act as a major role for the inner expression of the characters in the creation of picture books. 그림책 『고릴라』에는 아빠와 동물원에 가고 싶어하는 주인공 한나와 늘 바쁜 아빠, 그리고 한나의 꿈속에 등장하여 한나를 동물원에 데려가는 고릴라가 주요 등장인물로 나오며 이야기를 전개한다. 이 책의 저자인 영국의 그림책 작가 앤서니 브라운(Anthony Browne)은 한나의 꿈을 통해 그녀의 마음을 구체적으로 묘사하며 그녀가 가진 결핍과 욕망을 암시한다. 본 연구의 목적은 『고릴라』의 등장인물 한나의 심리를 라캉의 욕망 이론으로 바라보고 분석하여 그림책 창작에서 인물의 심리표현이 중요한 문제로 논의될 수 있는 가능성을 확인하는 것에 있다. 주인공 한나의 내면은 프랑스의 정신분석학자 자크 라캉(Jacques Lacan)의 욕망 이론의 개념 이해를 통해 분석될 수 있으며, 라캉의 욕망 이론은 페르디낭 드 소쉬르(Ferdinand de Saussure)의 언어학 및 지그문트 프로이트(Sigmund Freud)의 오이디푸스 콤플렉스와 함께 이해할 수 있다. 『고릴라』의 서사는 모두 15개의 화면으로 구성되며 한나의 꿈을 경계로 현실 속 이야기와 무의식 세계의 이야기로 배경이 구분된다. 한나의 무의식 세계에서 벌어지는 사건은 『고릴라』 서사의 중심 축이 되며 본 연구에서 라캉의 욕망 이론이 대입되어 분석이 이루어지는 주요 대상이 된다. 분석의 결과는 인간의 무의식은 언어처럼 구조화되어있다는 라캉의 시선과 꿈을 통해 표출되는 한나의 욕망을 같은 선상에서 바라보며 해석할 수 있는 것을 보여준다. 이와 같은 새로운 관점은 그림책 창작에서 등장인물의 내면 표현을 위해 주요한 역할로 작용할 수 있을 것이다.

The performance of a centrifugal compressor composed of an impeller, tandem diffuser rows and axial guide vanes has been predicted numerically and compared with available experimental results on its design rotational speed. The pitchwise-averaged mixing plane method was employed for the boundaries between rotor and stator to obtain steady state solutions. The overall characteristics showed difference according to the relative positions of tandem diffuser rows while the characteristics of impeller showed almost identical result. The numerical results agree with the measured data in respect of their tendency. It turned out that $0\%$ of relative positions is the worst case in terms of static pressure recovery and efficiency. According to the experimental results, some pressure fluctuations and malfunction of the compressor were observed for $75\%$ case. However, this numerical calculation using mixing plane method did not capture any of those phenomena. Thus, unsteady flow calculation should be performed to investigate the stability of the compressor caused by different diffuser configuration.

Numerical analysis of the partial admission turbine in the KARI turbopump has been performed. Flow field of the partial admission turbine is intrinsically unsteady and three dimensional. To avoid heavy computational efforts, the frozen rotor method is adopted in computation and compared with the mixing plane approach. The frozen rotor method can represent the variation of a flow field along the circumferential direction of rotor blades, which have the different relative positions to the nozzle with one another. It also illustrates the wake loss mechanism starting from the lip of a nozzle, which is not captured in the mixing plane method. The frozen rotor method has proven to be an efficient tool for the design of a partial admission turbine.

The magnitude of the axial force acting on turbopump bearings has a great influence on the operational reliability and service life of a turbopump. In the turbopump under current investigation the cavity vanes are introduced to the pump shroud casing to control the axial thrust of the turbopump. To investigate the effect of the cavity vanes, 3D computational flow analyses for a propellant pump stage including an inducer, impeller, volute and secondary flow passages are performed with and without the vanes. The results show that the cavity vanes are very effective in reducing the magnitude of axial thrust without notable changes on the overall performance of the turbopump.1. 서 론* 한국항공우주연구원 터보펌프그룹

The present study focuses on the flow analysis of a turbopump inducer by performing both numerical and experimental methods. The head rise, efficiency and detailed flow fields such as outlet flow angles, pressure and velocity vectors are measured and compared with the computational data. Generally a good agreement is obtained between numerical and experimental results. However, some discrepancies are observed due to complex flow structures inside the inducer. Future calculations with an advanced turbulence model and a dense computational grid needs to be performed to obtain accurate numerical solution for the detailed flow fields.
