여러 가지 탄소원에서 Peηicillium verruculosum ${\beta}-Glucosidase$의 유도를 효소활성 측정과 immunoblot 분석으로 조사하였다. 효소활성도는 cellobiose octaacetate(COA)에서 가장 높았고 mannitol, maltose, laminarin 그리고 cellobiose 순으로 좋았다.탄소원에 상관없이 세포외 효소의 출현이 세포내의 그것보다 약 48시간 정도 늦였으며 COA와 laminarin에서 세포내 효소합성과 분비는 타 탄소원에 비하여 각각 장시간과 48시간 늦었다. Glucose는 효소합성을 억제하였으나 maltose는 오히려 효소합성을 촉진하였다. The induction of Penicillium verruculosum ${\beta}-Glucosidase$ by different carbon sources was investigated using by either enzyme activity assay or immunoblot analysis. The activity of extracellular enzyme was maximum with cellobiose octaacetate (COA), followed by mannitol, maltose, laminarin and cellobiose. Regardless of carbon sources, cellular ${\beta}-Glucosidase$ occurred 48 h earlier compared with extracellular enzyme. The biosynthesis and secretion of enzyme on COA and laminarin occurred 24 or 48 h later than did on cellobiose and maltose. Glucose repressed enzyme synthesis while maltose induced enzyme biosynthesis efficiently.
