GTL(Gas to Liquid) is technology of manufacturing liquid fuels that have high cetane number, low PAH(Poly Aromatic Hydrocarbon), and low sulfur through the processes of gasification, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(F-T synthesis), hydro cracking, etc. It is also alternative diesel fuel got attention to reduce NOx and PM fundamentally. Existing GTL is utilized for onshore stranded gas and associated gas of small and medium gas fields, but Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) applied it to Floating Production Storage and Off loading(FPSO) and built sloshing pilot plant producing offshore clean fuel to use offshore stranded gas through many processes on topside of FPSO. KOGAS tried to optimize operation conditions through operating GTL-FPSO sloshing pilot plant and have technological advances for applicability in this research. Especially, we focused on maintaining optimized synthesis gas H2/CO ratio that is applicable to use as feed gas of Fischer-Tropsch reactor for process optimization of CO2 separation process as using simulation program for achieving laboratory goals.
