A conventional motor driving power steering system is composed of yoke, ring, resin and shaft. The yoke is manufactured by welding it after bending of a metal sheet. The Precision cold forging has been carried out in order to remove a defect due to welding. A General forging has caused the decrease of productivity because of two-stage forging. The finite element analysis for a conventional forward-backward combined extrusion process has tried out, which has brought out unfilling of lower part of a prodcut. The authors have proposed the double-action complex extrusion process with single stage as a new process to eliminate a unfilling defect. The process has proven to be optimal from the comparison for flow pattern, load and effective stress with a conventional combined extrusion process.
