Large-scale molecular dynamics simulations are performed to verify the deformation characteristics of grain boundaries in nanolithography process. The copper substrate made of 200,000 atoms is constructed by two grains in different crystal orientations using dynamic relaxation method. The grain boundary is located in the middle of the substrate with 45~135 degree angles. The plowing tip is made of diamond-like-carbon atoms in a variety of shapes. In the simulations, the generation, propagation, and accumulation of dislocations are observed inside the substrate. From the numerical results, we address the dynamic behavior of the grain boundaries as well as the frictional characteristics in terms of the morphology of initial grain boundaries.

Most failures of ductile materials in metal forming processes occurred due to material damage<br/> evolution - void nucleation, growth and coalescence. In this paper, the modified yield function of Liao<br/> et al in conjunction with the Hosford's yield criterion is studied to clarify the plastic deformation<br/> characteristic of voided anisotropic sheet metals. The void growth of an anisotropic sheet under biaxial<br/> tensile loading and damage effect of void growth on forming limits of sheet metals are investigated.<br/> Also the characteristic length defining the neck geometry is introduced in M-K model to incorporate<br/> the effect of triaxial stress in necked region on forming limits. The forming limits theoretically<br/> predicted are compared with experimental data. Satisfactory agreement was obtained between the<br/> predictions and experimental data.

본 논문은 모바일 지도서비스에서 장소검색 시의 최적 지도검색결과(지도화면)에 대한 연구이다. 선행 연구결과를 기반으로 가설을 세우고 웹 설문으로 이를 검증하여 두 가지 즉, 사용자의 현재위치 및 주요 지형물이 가장 중요한 정보요소로 밝혀졌다. 위 연구결과를 지도검색결과 로직에 적용하여 실제 서비스화하여 제공하고 있다. This study presented what the optimal map view for a searching result should be like, especially for mobile. The goal of this study was to define essential information elements of map view results and combine defined elements and prioritize among them. Three factors- a user’s current location, multiple results and visual landmarks- were considered for the optimal map view results based on an earlier research, which is user participatory sketching. Through building and verifying hypotheses built based on a web survey, two out of three factors- a user’s current location information and visual landmarks- were verified to be significant.

본 연구에서는 모바일 위치정보 검색결과를 지도형, 지도+목록형, 목록형 중 어떤 유형으로 노출하는 것이 가장 이상적인지에 대해 연구하였다. 그 결과 전반적으로 질의어의 유형에 따라 선호하는 검색결과 유형이 다른 현상이 관찰되었다. ‘킹콩스테이크’와 같은 단독업체 질의어는 지도가 크게 보이는 정답형 결과를, ‘스타벅스’ 같은 복수 검색결과를 기대하는 질의어는 지도와 목록이 함께 표시되는 결과를 선호하는 패턴이 나타났다. 또한, 6 개 위치관련 질의어 유형 중 5 개 유형에서 대부분의 사용자가 검색결과에 지도가 포함되기를 선호하며, 근처에 있을 경우 자신의 현재위치가 함께 표시되기를 희망하였다. 그러나 목록형 결과는 ‘맛집’처럼 기타 정보의 추가 비교를 필요로 하는 고관여 업종 질의어에서만 선호되었다. 본 연구는 위치정보 검색결과의 제시에 있어, 이상적인 한가지 유형만으로 대응하기보다 질의어별로 다른 접근이 필요하다는 인사이트를 도출한 데 그 의의가 있다. We studied on the ideal representation of location search results in mobile environment comparing 3 types of design: Map-only, Map+List, and List-only. As a result, we observed some query types mattered to determine preferred representation of each result. When a participant searched for a business name of a single store, such as ‘Kingkong Steak’, the one tended to be fond of a map enlarged result. Also, in case of ‘Starbucks’ which likely showed multiple results, the one preferred a Map+List type. In general, among 5 out of 6 location related queries, almost all participants wanted to see the results with a map, and the one’s own realtime location included. On the other hand, List-only type was selected only for highly information-related queries which required extra information to compare with, such as, ‘Garosu-Gil Gourmet’. This research showed an insight that we need query-based approach other than a single ideal solution in representation of location search results.
