악취 유발 물질인 H2S를 처리하기 위한 UV/photocatalysis의 성능 향상에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 광촉매 물질을 선정하기 위하여 EtOH을 기준물질로 사용하였으며, 광촉매 반응기의 광활성은 광촉매 반응기의 표면에 코팅된 광촉매의 표면특성과 높은 상관성을 나타냄을 확인하였다. PS 광촉매(STS-01)가 코팅된 광촉매 반응기는 기체선 속도가0.01 m/s, 상대습도가 40%의 조건에서 약 80%의 H2S 산화효율을 보였으나, 그 이상의 선속도에서 반응활성은 급격히 감소하였다. 광촉매 반응기의 성능유지를 위하여 백금을 광촉매에 담지 하였는데 이는 같은 실험조건에서 95% 이상의 우수한 H2S 전환율을 나타내었다. Enhancement of photocatalytic activity of UV/photocatalysis was carried out to oxidize the gaseous H2S in a tubular reactor coated with photocatalyst of sol type TiO2. EtOH was used as the standard material to select the photocatalyst,and it was confirmed that the reactor activity was dependent on the coated surface characteristics. Theselected photocatalytic reactor, which coated with STS-01, showed about 80% conversion when the gas linear velocitywas 0.01 m/s and relative humidity was 40%. However, the conversion level of the reaction decreased significantly withincreasing gas linear velocity. Pt was loaded on the photocatalyst to enhance and maintain the performance of the reac-tor, which enhanced the conversion level of H2S more than 95% under the same experimental condition.

Factors acting on the deactivation of V2O5/TiO2 catalysts were investigated in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) process for long term operation. The activity of V2O5/TiO2 catalysts was decreased rapidly after 8 months from the starting of operation in the selective catalytic reaction processes. From ICP-AES analysis, the deactivation of the used catalysts could be caused from the calcium component included in urea solution as a reducing agent. It was found from the NH3-TPD experiments that the strong basic element like Ca component drastically affected the acidity of the V2O5/TiO2 catalyst. The results gave an explanation on the reason why the component of Ca, even though its concentration is very low, could lead to the deactivation of V2O5/TiO2 catalyst in the selective catalytic reaction processes.

Characteristics of photocatalytic CO removal process conducting CO conversion by using Pt loaded TiO_2 photocatalyst were investigated in a photocatalytic tubular reactor. Effects of Pt loading method onto TiO_2, linear velocity of gas stream containing CO gas, CO concentration and moisture content in the gas stream on the conversion of CO to CO_2 were examined. It was found that the CO gas could be removed almost 100% by using photocatalytic tubular reactor internally coated with Pt/TiO_2 photocatalyst under UV irradiation, when the linear velocity of gas stream was in the range of 0.01~0.25 m/s and CO concentration in the gas stream was ranged from 20 to 100 ppm and the relative humidity of the gas stream was in the range of 20~40%. The conversion of CO gas decreased gradually with increasing linear velocity of gas stream and CO concentration in the gas stream. The moisture in the gas stream could promote the removal of CO gas by means of the generation of OHradicals.

In this paper the band-stop filter that rejects the undesired 3th and 5th harmonics generated from high frequench generator is analyzed and optimized. The length of the band-stop filter is setup initially a quarter of a wavelength fo the harmonic, but initial filter structure is unable to cutoff the harmonics because of the fringing effect at the input of the choke. To reduce the mismatch between the cutoff frequency and the harmonics, the length of the choke is optimized by using iterative Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm.

In this paper new automatic gate system(AGS) which is used for non-stop gate entrance of container trucks is developed. The gate entrance information is transmitted and received by 5.8GHz dedicated short range communication(DSRC) between roadside equipment(RSE) and on-board equipment(OBE). The conventional systems, such as barcode system and camera identification system, are needed for container vehicles to stop at the gate. Here DSRC system and AGS are introduced and the experimental results for AGS are presented.
