Statistics are quite indispensible to business marngernent, government policy-making and policy-evaluation as well as our day-to-day living. With the advent of the information age, they are in greater demand and become more specialized than ever. In the era of localization, local governments need to possess the ability of producing their own statistical information for themselves. Nevertheless, our concern has been with national statistics rather than local statistics because of our aggregative economic growth policy. The purpose of this study is to examine the development and operationalization of local statistics, to recognize related issues and problems, to select basic local statistics through demand analyses, and to make a suggestion for the improvement of local government statistics. The findings and suggestions of the study are summarized as follows: First, it is important to secure local government statistics. For this, local governments should gather local data and information in various fields, rearrange regional data for better uses. Second, it is necessary to improve the gathering and producing system of local government statistics. A continuous computerization is needed for the improvement of data collection, information supply, and overall system of local government statistics. Finally, it is required to build a new system of statistical organizations and laws in the local level of governments, To meet specialization and diversification of public administration, we need to rearrange such a institutional and managerial system of local statistics as statistical organizations, laws and regulations, statistical personnels, and so on. Nevertheless, these suggestions are to be put into action in a step-by-step basis since they inevitably involve many personnel, budgetary, legal, and institutional problems. In addition, both providers and users of statistical data should assume responsibility for the improvement and development of local government statistics.

하나님의 은혜로 한국교회는 짧은 선교역사에도 불구하고 전 세계 기독교인들이 부러워할 정도로 괄목할만한 교회성장을 이루었다. 그러나 이제 더 이상 지난날의 놀라운 성장을 찾아볼 수 없는, 교회성장의 정체 또는 퇴보현상이 나타나고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 한국 그리스도인들의 신앙의 내적 태도에도 심각한 문제가 나타나고 있다. 이러한 문제는 오늘날 교회가 예수의 제자도를 바르게 선포하지 못함으로써 명목상의 그리스도인들을 양산한 데에 그 원인이 있다. 십자가가 한낱 장식품에 지나지 않는 기복적 복음-넓은 문, 걷기 좋은 길-만을 외치고 있는 것이다. 이와 같은 문제에 직면하여 필자는 무엇보다 그리스도인들의 올바른 삶의 양식에 대한 뚜렷한 제시가 요청되는 때라고 생각하게 되었다. 예수의 핵심 메시지 가운데 하나인 제자도에 대한 올바른 이해가 없이는 올바른 신앙을 기대할 수 없다. 이에 연구자는 그 해답을 공관복음에 나타나는 제자도를 통해서 얻으려고 했으며, 공관복음의 자료들 가운데서도 좀 더 원래적인 역사적 예수의 말씀에 가장 가깝다고 생각되는 마가복음과 예수의 어록인 Q문서에 국한하여 연구하고자 한다. 교회는 예수의 제자들을 길러서 세상에 파송해야 할 책임이 있다. 이러한 제자도는 기독교인의 존재성에 관련된 핵심적인 이슈이다. 우리는 그리스도의 부름을 통해 교회에 나온 사람들이며, 또한 세상으로부터 부름 받은 모든 그리스도인들은 예수의 부르심의 의미를 밝히 깨달아 확실한 제자로서의 삶을 영위해나가야 할 의무를 부여받은 자들이라는 인식이 반드시 필요하다. 이러한 문제의식에 기초하여 본 논문은 공관복음에 나타난 예수의 제자도를 조명함으로써 현대의 모든 그리스도인들, 특히 한국의 그리스도인들이 예수의 진정한 제자로서의 삶을 영위해 나가도록 돕고자 한다.
