        원료의약품 분진의 폭발 위험성 평가

        Dust explosions are occurring in a variety of industries. A dust explosion caused by a specific energy generates huge amount of energy in the ignition and releases decomposition gas. Damages can be increased since this released decomposition gas can cause second and subsequent explosions. In this study, the goal was to obtain practical information on what could affect the explosion by comparing the characteristics of two kinds of dusts with completely different chemical properties. Three kinds of dusts were measured and evaluated for explosion pressure, dust explosion index, explosion limit and minimum ignition energy. It is possible to grasp the characteristics of each dust and use it as useful accident prevention data in the production of raw material powder.

        The changes of mitochondrial cytochrome c and GABAergic neuron in neuropathic pain model

        Background: Role of cytochrome c (Cyt c) is an apoptogenic agent under certain conditions. The mitochondrial permeability transition pore (MPTP) plays an important role in cell death since it opens, leading to mitochondrial swelling and release of Cyt c, which initiates apoptosis. By inhibiting the opening of MPTP, cyclosporine A (CSA) may contribute to maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis. We investigate the effects of the partial sciatic nerve injury (PSNI)-induced neuropathic pain model on mitochondrial Cyt c release and the effects of CSA on neuroprotection by mitochondrial stabilizing activity in PSNI rats. Methods: Rats were assigned to two groups that received different operations (Group P; PSNI operation, Group S; sham operation). The changes of cyt c and GABAergic neuron were evaluated in the spinal cord tissue. After which, PSNI rats randomly received CSA (Group C) or saline (Group S), and the changes of mechanical thresholds with Cyt c and GABAergic neuron were checked. Results: PSNI in rats increased the release of cytosolic Cyt c. However, GABAergic cells were not decreased in the spinal cord level on the ipsilateral side to the PSNI. The second experiment reveal a reduction in Cyt c release, using CSA in PSNI model. Rats receiving CSA were afforded the antiallodynia without decrease of GABAergic cell. Conclusions: The Cyt c probably contributes to nerve dysfunction after PSNI. PSNI induced neuropathic pain was profoundly linked to mitochondrial stabilization. Thus, the potent neuroprotector, CSA, might produce antiallodynia through its capability to inhibit the opening of MPTP.

        의약품 원료 DIET 합성 중 H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>를 이용한 붕소제거 반응공정에서의 폭주반응 위험성 평가

        In the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient(API) manufacturing company, since the product is produced by the chemical reaction, fire and explosion are frequently occurred in the process of inputting the raw powder as the chemical reaction stage. There are not many studies on safety measures through analysis of cause of accident in the actual chemical reaction stage. In this study, we investigated the heat flow in the boron removal reaction process to investigate the risk in the chemical reaction stage. The study reaction process was performed by using the reaction calorimeter for the products synthesized at the actual raw material in pharmaceutical factory. The risk was estimated by comparing the maximum temperature of the synthesis reaction, which can generate heat due to the failure of cooling in the actual manufacturing process, and the technical temperature. These results are applied to commercial manufacturing sites and safety measures to control the risk of runaway reaction due to reaction heat are suggested. 원료의약품 제조회사에서는 화학반응에 의해 제품이 생산되기 때문에 화학반응 전 단계인 원료 분말을 투입하는 과정에서 화재 폭발사고가 자주 발생하고 있다. 이에 대한 실질적인 화학반응 단계에서 사고원인 분석을 통한 안전대책 연구는 많지 않다. 본 연구에서는 화학반응 단계에서의 위험성을 알아보고자 붕소제거 반응공정에서 발열에 대한 실험을 진행했다. 연구대상 반응공정은 실제 원료의약품 공장에서 합성하고 있는 제품을 대상으로 반응열량계를 이용하여 열적 거동을 조사하였다. 실제 제조현장의 반응공정에서 냉각실패 등의 이유로 발열할 수 있는 합성반응의 최대온도와 기술적 근거에 의한 최대온도를 비교해서 위험도를 예측하였다. 이러한 결과를 가지고 실제 제조현장에 적용하여 발열에 따른 폭주반응 위험성을 제어하는 안전대책을 제시하였다.

        피부하 석회결정 ( Subepidermal Calcifid Nodules ) 의 1 예

        Subepiderral calcified nodules is a special form of idiopathic calcinosis circumscripta with its distinct clinical and histopathologic features, which was originally described by Winer(1952) as solitary congenital no3ular czlcification of the skin. Although the lesions are usually solitary and congenital, subs aquent investigators reported multiple lesions and later onset. Clinically, th. leions are small hard. yellowish-white warty nodules developed. usually on the face and mostly in children and histopathologically are subepidermal calcified mass with s cvn4ry epidermal changes. Although the pathogenesis is still unexplained, it s seems that the disease is not associated with any systemic or cutaneous disease or any biochemial abnormalities. We present a first recorded case of subepidermal calcified nodules developed on the left the a Korasn female, aged 23, which has been present for 7 years. Shave biopsy showed typical histopathologic and histochemical features of the subpidermal calcified nodules. Literature were reviewed.

        화합물 합성반응 중 Fridel - Crafts Acylation 공정에서의 폭주반응 위험성평가

        Heat is generated during the synthesis and mixing process of chemical compounds due to a change in activation energy during the reaction. A runaway reaction occurs when sufficient heat is not removed during the heat control process within a reactor, rapidly increasing the temperature, reaction speed, and rate of heat generation inside the reactor. A risk assessment was executed using an RC-1 (Reaction Calorimeter) during Friedel-Crafts acylation. Friedel-Crafts acylation runs the risk of rapid heat generation during Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing; it was used to confirm the risk of a runaway reaction at each synthesis stage and during the mixing process. This study used experimental data to develop a safety efficiency improvement plan to control the risks of runaway and other exothermic reactions, which was implemented at the production site of a chemical plant.

        아프리카돼지열병 뉴스감성이 육류 가격에 미치는 영향분석

        The meat market behavior has been studied typically based on the price and income effect. Recently, unstructured data have been generated from big data analysis. Therefore, our study generates a sentiment index about African Swine Fever(ASF) and estimates the impact of the change in the ASF sentiment index on the Korean meat market. Word2Vec technique, one of the Neural Network Language Model(NNLM), is used to generate the ASF sentiment index. Moreover, we decompose the ASF sentiment index into its positive and negative changes. Using this ASF sentiment index, we build a non-linear Autoregressive Distributed Lag(ARDL) to estimate how the positive and negative ASF sentiment index sensitively causes pork, beef, and chicken prices. The results show that pork and beef prices are more sensitive to the positive ASF sentiment index changes than the negative ASF sentiment index. Our study is the first trial to study the meat market involving sentiment analysis to the best of our knowledge. We expect that developed sentiment analysis will generate animal disease sentiment and help understand the response of animal disease sentiment in the Korean meat market.

        Several immunosuppressive agents were used to prolong the survival of full-thickries skin homografts in albino rats. The grafts were squares in size of 2.0cm. The results were as follows. 1. The mean survival time of skin homografts in control group was 6.0 days. 2. Total body X-irradiation (500r) to the recipients 24 hours before grafting resulted in prolongation of survival of the grafts. (Mean, 12.5 days) 3. Administration of Imuran(azathioprine) to the recipients in a does of 5mg/kg/day for 7 days. before grafting resulted in prolongation of survival of the grafts. (Mean, 9. 6 days) 4. Spleneetomized homografted rats showed no prolongation of survival of the grafts. (Mean, 6.1days) 5. Administration of prednisolone to the recipients in a does of 2mg/kg/day for 7 days before grafting resulted in no prolongation of survival of the grafts. (Mean, 6.3 days) 6. Above results were discussed and compared with those of others.

        피부수포내용물의 면혁전기영동에 의한 분석 (分析)

        The proteins, especially the 19S globulin (IgM) and 7S globulin (IgA) in the CO2 snow-induced blister fluids of 10 male healty volunteers were analyzed immunoelectrophoretically. The fnllawing results were obtained. 1) Compared with autologous serum, all blister fluids tested lacked some protein fraction lines. 2) The 19S globulin (lgM) line was absent in all of the blister fluids except one which was contaminated with blood. 3) The 7S globulin (IgA) line was present in all of the blister fluids when undiluted. In 1 : 2 dilution, however, it was absent, or of trace amount in a few cases.
