장전자 방출법을 이용하여 kink 또는 loosely closed pack의 텅스텐 결정면((310), (221), (211))의 수소흡착에 대한 일함수의 변화를 측정하고 상대 흡착율을 주입량과 일함수의 변화로 결정할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 (310)면과 (221)면에 대한 수소의 heat of desorption을 측정하였으며 초고진공 장치내에서 팔라듐의 수소 source로서의 가능성을 확인하였다. Work function changes for various W planes, i.e. (221), (310), (211), induced by hydrogen adsorption have been measured using a field electron emission method and Fowler Nordheim equation. We have also measured the heat of desorption of these planes. An empirical relation between coverage and dose was obtained. And a possibility of palladium as a hydrogen source in a UHV system was discussed.

The purpose of this study is to experimentally analyze swing motion with soft golf clubs and compare with that with normal golf clubs. Soft golf is newly devised recreational sport based on golf but focus on the playability for the elderly. The subject for the experiment performed swing motion using a normal golf club and a soft golf club in turn. The swing motion of the subjects was tracked using an opto-electric three-dimensional motion analysis system. The results were compared against those obtained with a normal golf club. The range of motion was analyzed along with top head speed for two cases. It was found that higher club head speed could be achieved with reduced range of motion at lumbar joint using soft golf club when compared against the swing using regular club. The lower range of motion for lumbar bending means reduced risk of injury at the joint. So, it is projected that we can reduce the risk of injury with soft golf while maintaining the club head speed.

Laboratory experiments were conducted to ascertain responses of soybeans to water stress during germination. Germination of 101 genotypes was measured under water stress at 25℃. Nine genotypes among the 101 tested were consistently ranked ‘high’ for germination at -3, -6, -12 and -15 bars soil moisture tension. Most genotypes germinated at levels up to -12 bars, but failed to germinate at -15 bars. The critical soil moisture for soybean germination was between -12 and -15 bars. Both genotype and moisture × genotype interactions were highly significant sources of variation for germination and seedling growth. The soil moisture level × genotype interactions were largely due to differences in magnitude of responses rather than to direction of responses to the decreasing soil moisture. The specific effect of soil moisture treatment on germination and seedling growth was confounded by initial differences in seed quality.

The effect of Dolichos lablab leave extract on enzyme activities in mice blood was investigated in this study to clarify the new useful application of the plant leaves. There were not significant differences in the enzyme activities in mice blood among treatment fed with the leave extract and non fed control. The feeding treatment with the extract showed a tendency to activity compared to the non fed control. The activities of glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, glutamate pyruvate transaminase and lactate dehydrogenase in mice blood at the treatment fed with lead and the leave extract were significantly low compared to their activities at the non fed treatment with the extract, respectively. The choline esterase activity was high at the leave extract feeding. The cadmium dietary treatment showed the same result as the lead treatment. In conclusion, the physiological function of the Jebikong leave was significantly in creased when the mice was stressed by the heavy metal intake. Therefore, the plant leave extract would consider the reduction of heavy metal effect.
Relationship between Seed Leakage Solutes during Imbibition and Germinability on Soybeans

Laboratory experiments were conducted to evaluate seed leakage solutes during imbibition as physiological character associated with germinability of soybeans. The electrical conductivities of the leakage solutes of soybean seeds from four varieties Essex, Pickett, Wayne and Bonus were measured at different temperatures and soaking time. As time and temperature increased, leakage solutes from the seeds become significantly pronounced. There were significant differences in the leakage solutes among varieties. The average electrical conductivity of leakage solutes from Essex and Pickett after 40 minutes soaking was significantly lower at 20, 25 and 30℃ than those of Wayne and Bonus. The conductivity of leakage solutes was negatively correlated with subsequent seedling growth of soybean seeds.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the pattern of muscle usage during swing motion with a soft golf club in comparison with that with a normal golf club. The subjects were normal healthy young adults. The subjects performed swing motion using normal and soft golf clubs in turn. Then, we compared and analyzed the muscular activities for the two cases. The muscular activities of the subject was measured using MP100(BIOPAC Systems, Inc.). For the analysis of muscular activities, we measured EMG(Electromyography) of the subjects during swing motion. The muscles analyzed were deltoid, latissimus dorsi, external oblique, and rectus abdominis of the upper limbs and rectus femoris, biceps femoris, gastrocnemius, and soleus of the lower limbs. The result of the experiment showed that the pattern of muscle usage with soft golf club was similar to that with a normal golf club but the muscular activities with the soft golf was smaller than that with the normal golf club.
깨끗한 Si(001) 표면의 buckled dimer 구조 연구 : a(2×1)과 c(4×2)

CAICISS장치를 이용하여 깨끗한 Si(001) 표면에서 재배열하는 dimer의 원자구조를 분석하였다. Si(001) 표면에서 dimer 원자가 확실히 buckled 되어 있음을 확인하였고, asymmetry(2×1)구조와 c(4×2)구조가 공존하고 있음을 밝혔다. dimer 원자의 결합거리는 2.3±0.1 Å이고, buckling 각은 18±1° 였다. The geometric structure of dimer atoms on clean Si(001) surface was studied using CAICISS. We confirmed that dimer atoms were certainly buckled, and also found that asymmetry (2×1) and c(4×2) were coexisted. The intradimer bond length and the buckling angle of a dimer measured by CAICISS system were 2.3±0.1 Å and 18±1°, respectively.
