Current research aimed at investigating of heat-resistance of magnet wire to endow miniaturizing electronic equipment with a high efficiency or reliability. Thermal stability of magnet wire has a close relationship with physical properties of polymeric coating that is formed from enamel varnish. Design of heat-resistant enamel varnish and coating technology of varnish solution were briefly described. Some factors which have a thermal effect on wire were discussed through the evaluation method of the wire properties.
High Nitrogen Low Hydrogen Amides & Imides From Cyanoimidazoles

High nitrogen low hydrogen materials are of interest due to their thermal stability and low flammability properties. The strategy of incorporating heteroaromatic units in polymers to prepare high nitrogen low hydrogen materials has met with success. For example, Marvel’s preparation of polybenzimidazole or Kvenzel's work in which oxadiazole rings were incorporated in aromatic polyamides. We now report the preparation of novel heteroaromatic polyamides and polyimides derived form cyanoimidazoles. Recently, we have focused on attention the preparation of polymeric materials based on cyanoimidazoles. Poly (imidazoleamides) (1) and Poly (imidazoleimides) (2) based on a imidazole backbone, as show below, have a number of attractive properties. The high nitrogen and low hydrogen content suggests their use for thermally stable and low flammability applications. The electron- withrawing effect of the nitrile group may increase the thermal and oxidative stability of the heteroaromatic polyamides.
