본 연구는 조선후기 영남지역 학자인 東巖柳長源이 저술한 대표적인 예서인 『常變通攷』(1783년)를 통하여 문헌의 성립과정과 구성, 관례의 내용을 고찰하여 그에 내재된 특징을 규명함으로써 관례문화의 의의를 조명하고자 하였다. 『상변통고』를 통해본 관례관을 살펴보면 첫째, 예를 일깨우는 실천의 과정이다. 효도하고 우애하고 충성하고 순리에 따르는 행동이 확립되어야 사람 된 도리를 할 수 있고 사람 된 도리를 할 수 있어야 사람을 다스릴 수 있다. 무엇보다 성인으로서의 도리에 맞는 예를 실천하는 자세가 선행되어야 한다. 둘째, 효 의식을 가지게 한다. 관례를 시작하기 전과 관례를 마무리하고 난후 주인은 관자를 사당에 모신 선조들에게 인사를 드리게 한다. 이것은 관자에게 조상을 정성으로 받드는 효를 이행해야 할 도리를 다시금 깨우치게 하는 것이다. 또한 집안의 어른들을 뵙고 인사를 드리며 성년으로 성장하기 까지 양육과 훈육으로 자애를 베풀어주신 어른들을 향한 감사와 보은의 이행을 다짐하게 된다. 셋째, 책임감을 가지게 한다. 20세에 관례를 치르는 것은 성인으로서의 예를 책임지우기 위해서였다라고 한 것을 보면 책임감을 가지고 관례를 이행하기 위해서는 무엇보다 성인의 도리를 바르게 알아야 한다. 이는 자신이 하는 모든 일에 책임감을 갖는 삶으로 가정에서부터 시작되어 사회로 확대되어가는 것이다. 성인으로 덕을 이루어나가야 할 책임을 가지고 자신의 맡은 역할과 직무를 수행할 인재가 되기 위한 노력에 정진해야 할 것이다. 이로써 관례의 진정한 의미를 되살려 오늘날 사회적 문제가 되고 있는 청소년문제를 해결하기 위해 청소년 인성교육방안을 마련해야 할 것이다. 무엇보다 가정을 중심으 로성년례가 실천될 수 있도록 다양한 형식과 접근방안을 모색하는 것이 뒤따라야 할 것이다. This study aimed to find out the meanings of coming-of-age ceremony upon reviewing ‘Sangbyuntonggo(1783),’ a representative Lishu published by Dongam Jang Won Ryu who was a scholar in Yeungnam in late Joseon, including the establishment processes of the literature, its organization, and contents of coming-of-age ceremony, and investigating the implicated characteristics. With respect to the view on coming-of-age ceremony in ‘Sangbyuntonggo,’ the first one is the process of practice to understand courtesy. Only when the behaviors of filial duty, friendship, loyalty, and following natural law are established, he or she can do the duty as a human-being and can manage the people only when he or she can do the duty. Above all, the attitude should be advanced to practice the courtesy to meet the duty as an adult. The second one is to do filial duty. Before and after the coming-of-age ceremony, the host makes the coming-of-age bow to the ancestors in the shrine. This is to remind the coming-of-age of the duty to perform filial duty that serves the ancestors with love. In addition, he or she promises performing appreciation and repaying kindness to them who had loved him or her with nurture and discipline until being a grown-up, upon greeting to the seniors in the family. The third one is to make him or her feel duty and responsibility. Considering that coming-of-age ceremony at 20 years old is to remind the responsibility as a grown-up, they should understand the duty as an adult to perform the ceremony with the sense of responsibility. This is to be responsible for everything he or she does, which is the course starting from the family and expanding into the society. With the sense of responsibility to realize the virtue as an adult, he or she should try to become a talent who can perform the role and responsibility well. From these with reminding the true meaning of the coming-of-age ceremony, plan of youth personality education should be prepared to solve the problems of youth which are the current social problems. Above all, approaching methods with a variety of formats should be followed to practice the coming-of-age ceremony in the center of families.

본 연구는 대구차문화축제의 성과 및 개선방안과 진다례의 문화콘텐츠적 가치를 살펴봄으로써 한국의 차축제와 전통다례문화를 독창적인 차문화콘텐츠로 개발하는데 의의가 있었다. 문화콘텐츠(Culture Content)란 창의력, 상상력을 원천으로 ‘문화적 요소’가 체화되어 경제적 가치를 창출하는 문화상품(Cultural Commodity)을 의미한다. 대구차문화축제와 진다례를 통하여 창의성과 기술을 바탕으로 고부가가치를 창출하는 문화콘텐츠로 전환될 수 있다. 대구차문화축제는 행사내용 및 구성에 따라 차를 중심으로 한 전통 문화축제로 교육․문화․산업발전에 기여하는 종합축제 뿐만 아니라 지역민의 일체감 조성, 지역사회의 소통적 기능, 전통문화 보존의 기능을 내포하고 있는 축제였다. 대구차문화축제는 한국차는 물론 세계의 차와 관련된 문화, 교육, 산업 전반에 걸쳐 체험과 소통의 장이 되었다. 앞으로의 발전방안으로 축제와 연계한 다양한 문화콘텐츠의 상품화와 체계적인 마케팅을 통해 차별화된 경쟁력을 확보하는 것이다. 더욱이 축제와 문화콘텐츠를 연계하여 브랜드 경쟁력을 높이고 특색있는 문화프로그램 개발과 대구의 특성을 살린 체험프로그램을 강화해야 할 것이다. 대구차문화축제의 진다례는 현대의 차문화축제의 구성 중 중요한 부분을 차지한다. 백인진다례는 복잡한 절차를 대폭 간소화 하여 축제의 참가자들에게 한국차문화의 고귀함을 보여주는 의례로 재현되었다. 진다례의 원형 발굴과 현대에 적합한 의례로서의 재창조로 축제와 접목시킨 차문화콘텐츠 개발이 필요하다. This study focuses on developing Korean tea festival and traditional tea ceremony culture into unique culture contents by looking at the achievements and improvement of Daegu Tea Culture Festival with the value of Jin Da-lye. Culture content defines a cultural commodity that creates economic value by forming a cultural element as a source of creativity and imagination. In this context, Daegu Tea Culture Festival and Jin Da-lye can be converted into cultural contents that create high value based on creativity and art. Daegu Tea Culture Festival is a traditional cultural festival centered on tea and related contents. It is a festival that not only contributes to the development of education, culture and industry, but also creates a sense of unity among the local people and preserves traditional culture. Daegu Tea Culture Festival has become a venue for experience and communication throughout the culture, education and industry related to Korean teas as well as the world s ones. As a way of future development, this study supposes to secure differentiated competitiveness through the commercialization of various cultural contents linked to festivals and systematic marketing. Moreover, it is encouraged to enhance our brand competitiveness by linking cultural contents to festival and developing distinctive programs. This will lead to strengthen experiential programs of festival with characteristics of Daegu. Jin Da-lye is an important part of modern tea culture. It is reenacted as a ritual that shows the nobility of Korean tea culture to participants of the festival by drastically simplifying complicated procedures. It is necessary to develop tea cultural contents combined with festivals by excavating the prototype of Jin Da-lye and recreating it as a rite suitable for modern times.
